I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.

I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.

I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in England.

All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.

I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.

All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.

I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.

The sun slowly peeks it's way through the heavy clouds as the citizens of Townsville sleep in on Sunday.

OK, here's the deal: I'm stupidly afraid of heights and this is at least 80 feet off the ground... oh please don't mention ground!... The pedestrian walkway is on the West side of this bridge, this photo is taken facing East. It's 11PM with not much traffic. All I could think about was standing there, in the traffic lane (Summit Street isn't that big or busy at 11PM), and having some crazy idiot aim his car for me. Only place for me would be over the edge... NO THANKS!... So I was in the middle of a 60 second exposure when I noticed car lights coming my way. Time to grab the tripod and head to the ped lane, tucked safely behind cement barriers. When I looked at the photo the next morning I was plesantly surprised at what was there. I like this, another attack of the worms (happened in Nashville last week); same result. I adjusted the light less than 10% and it turned out purple, I like that too. Enjoy.

PS, parked in the KC branch of the FBI private parking lot so figured I was a bit safe on this shoot.

Took this one infront of the street that separated me and the Royal Palace / Louvre Museum. A wild coposition of the slidely monochromatic style of the photo and the colorful car lights that happened while shooting! (longexposure)

....as a car-mad 4 year-old c.1969, one of the things I remember noticing was the newest MkII British Leyland ADO16 saloons (1100/1300 models) had 'smooth' rear light units (rather than the pointed ones in the more upright 'fins' of Mk1s & estates) to me they seemed more modern & smarter - I learnt years later that these were actually introduced in 1967 - also to be seen on the classic London taxi.

There´s a lot of vanity in Flickr. Sorry if you love it, but I´m not one of that kind, ´cos I´m modest and my ego enters in my pocket. I´m shy and all my selfportraits are a therapy. Until I opened this gallery I din´t know that other people took pictures like this ones. Worst have been to find feet perverts. I had to delete all their comments. Now they are all blocked!

This is the first site i have been able to find that has both on and off slip roads visible together with the motorway sandwiched in the middle.

While i was taking pictures at this site i missed a police car with its bule lights on coming off at the left hand slip road and then turning right to go over the bridge, i think he must have been going to a burglary in progress because he only had his blue lights on and nothing else all the way.

This is the 3rd time i have been taking light trails and the emergency services have gone by, and its the 3rd time i have missed them all.

Here's the day you hoped would never come

Don’t feed me violence, just run with me

Through rows of speeding cars

The paper cuts, the cheating lovers

The coffee’s never strong enough

I know you think it’s more than just bad luck

There, there, baby

It’s just text book stuff

It’s in the ABC of growing up

Now, now, darlin’

Oh don’t lose your head

'Cause none of us were angels

And you know I love you, yeah

Sleeping pills, no sleeping dogs lie never

Far enough away

Glistening in the cold sweat of guilt

I’ve watched you slowly winding down for years

You can’t keep on like this

Now is as bad of time as any

There, there, baby

It’s just text book stuff

It’s in the ABC of growing up

Now, now, darlin’

Oh don’t kill yourself

'Cause none of us were angels

And you know I love you, yeah

It’s okay by me

It’s okay by me

It’s okay by me

It was a long time ago

It’s okay by me

It’s okay by me

It’s okay by me

It was a long time ago

There, there, baby

It’s just text book stuff

It’s in the ABC of growing up

Now, now, darlin’

Oh don’t lose your head

'Cause none of us were angels

And you know I love you, yeah

* Speeding Cars * ~ by Imogen Heap

I have been waiting ages to upload this one. I really love how it turned out. The magic of long exposures and zoom lenses.

The vehicle – Rover Vitesse SD1 registration C356 YST – was commissioned by the force in 1985 and used to check for speeders on the then new Stonehaven bypass.

Thanks to its 190bhp 3.5litre V8 it proved to be more than capable of catching the many high performance vehicles which the relatively new oil industry had brought to the region – typically the Audi 100s and Quattros which were popular around Aberdeen at the time.

Presented by actor Philip Glenister (Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes), For the Love of Cars follows a crew of mechanics as they recover and restore classic vehicles which are in need of some TLC. The former high-speed pursuit vehicle has been stripped down to allow for new metal to be welded in where required, before receiving a full respray.

Complete with original Grampian Police livery, the vehicle has a number of original features including stop signs, sirens and blue lights which are all in good working order.

The police version of the SD1 were standard production models, rumoured to be the ones with faulty panels. These models gained factory modifications. Modifications included: stiffer suspension, improved brakes, more electrical wiring to power radios, sirens, lights and other necessary equipment the police used. The police specification cars were designated with an ‘X’ in the chassis number i.e. RRXWVF44A01745.

The first police force in Britain to get the SD1 was the West Yorkshire police force, and then gradually more police forces throughout Britain started using them. It is believed that the Police only used specially tuned V8 models, they weren’t, and lesser engined SD1’s were also used. The closest they got to a specially tuned model was the Vitesse.

The Royal protection squad also used the SD1. They needed a powerful car with some weight, for ramming cars out of the way should the need arise.

At the end of SD1 production, Rover still had a hefty stock of unsold cars and was keen to dispose of them quickly. Great numbers were offered to police forces at knock down prices, not Police specification, but standard models for as little as £3000 a car.

During this time, Police forces were receiving a lot of complaints as the public wanted to know why the Police were using big expensive luxury cars, wasting tax payer’s money. The public were not aware that the cars were in fact extremely cheap surplus stock.

Because of the complaints, the cars had all there model badges removed, so they could not be identified as particular models.

Here we are heading home and stuck in peak hour traffic it took 55 mins to get to the M4 from Granville on Parramatta rd NSW

Fog on this particular morning was quite the surprise. Alan, Willie and I met up in San Francisco with the original idea of shooting a cloudy sunrise somewhere in San Francisco. By the time we arrived in the city the clouds had moved northeast and we decided to cross the Golden Gate Bridge to find a westerly spot to photograph. As we crossed the bridge into Marin we started to get excited -- there was a small layer of fog forming and we hoped it would keep coming in. We stopped at Battery Spencer but decided to keep driving.

For the last 6 months Alan had an idea of trying to shoot a low fog photograph with the 2 towers aligned. The only problem is that you have to hike for quite a while to make it to the location and most people don't wake up early enough. It's a long, up-hill/down-hill not-so-fun morning hike. Fortunately for us we had arrived much earlier than anticipated and if we booked it we would make it before sunrise. By the time we arrived at Alan's spot a much denser fog had rolled in and started covering most of the bridge.

We were all pretty excited as we began shooting. Looking at the photos in our cameras showed a beautiful glow in the fog, some nice purple and blue tones, and the wonderful bridge. We shot the bridge with the 2 towers aligned first and then later moved back and to the right to shoot the bridge with a slight angle. Blue hour only lasted about 10 minutes and we ran around like crazy men trying to shoot different compositions. Ultimately I liked the slightly non-aligned photo the best, showing more of the bridge and giving insight into how the fog covered and exposed the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. I titled this "Dancing Gateway" because I like the way that the fog seems to dance in and out of the bridge.

Our morning concluded with a beautiful sunrise as the clouds lit up in beautiful oranges and reds. 16 photos stitched into a 230 megapixel image were required to fit the entire scene in. One day when I have time to stitch the photo together properly I might even show you what it looked like!

A business trip to Melbourne still afforded me the time to take a few photos.

For if there was no dakrness, I suppose, light would not be so interesting as to spend my moments caught between them, watching as the contrails pass me by...

This is a rare shot of the 1 million pound super car Lamborghini Reventon. There are only 20 of these stunning cars in the world and only 1 here in the UK. A V12 engine thrusting 650bhp with a top speed of over 211mph. The shot was taken with a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 17 - 55 f/2.8 DX lense. Lighting was from a single SB800 setup on a stand up high above the centre of the car and angled down to the floor with a Elemental Easy Soft Box set to +1 - 1/3 ev triggered with Nikon CLS. A little addtional work during post with subtle dodging and burning in work with additional shadow and lighting detail added. This is not a CGI image.

Visiting Grampian Transport Museum 8/8/17, I parked my car, walking towards the museums entrance I noticed a few performance cars parked a few yards away from me , Ferrari, Aston Martin , Porsche , I whipped out the Nikon and captured a few shots.

A member of museum staff informed me that the cars belonged to people also visiting the museum , first time Ive seen so many high performance cars in one car park out with car shows, conventions etc, the Aston Martin was my favourite , it was just pristine and looked magnificent, however each car had their own qualities .
