This is a piece with parts I have been working on for ever. The shadow box was originally green, the mermaid had different head, wings and no wand. Then it all came together. I used the head from one of my watercolor paintings and placed onto the mer-bee body/fin. Added the wings and a clay and wire candy wand. The background was designer paper with hand painted candy lollipops.
I added trims, crepe paper, chenille, tulle, flowers, glitter and more.
I haven't decided what to do with this yet!

"Lemonade anyone, just 5 cents a glass!", "Lollipops and cherry sundae's, 25 cents!" "Get your kettle corn in fruity flavors for only 15 cents a bag!" All the vendors at the Olivander Poppywig Circus are shouting out sweet deals to entice customers into buying one of their delicious treats, while posters of The Live Shows held in the Theatre are tacked all over. But many are over looked since tonight is the main event, The Fiji Mermaid and The Sea of Lollipops Show begins at 6pm and 8pm, it will be held in the main theater tent toward the octypus princess tank.
Adeline Montgomery is the star mermaid of the show. Adeline is actually a runaway Princess from a small little town called Carlight, deep in the heart of New Zealand, Adeline ran away with Perthy Poppywig, son of the great Olivander, during holiday and hasn't returned since. She loves the circus and performing as the fiji mermaid. Stay tuned for more of Adeline's tale!
"Let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of kings" — William Shakespeare, Richard II, Act 3, Scene 2
That's the spirit, Bill. But no. Let's just speed on by and not even bother to consider the death of kings and castles. After all, this is America.
Covid time and the theater is closed, but otherwise street lighting is celebratory. The edge of Morro Rock is visible at the end of the street, but the larger shape there is actually a tree. And the tail end of one-of-those-sunsets for accent.

My first outing with the New Aurora Lite Bank Firefly Duo beauty box, a 75mm deep octa that hold 2 speedlights. The box was on a monopod placed centre and above the model. The Duo contains 2 speedlights fires at 1/128th power.

Pembroke Castle, in Pembrokeshire, Wales, is one of the finest surviving Norman castles in Britain. It was the birthplace of Henry VII, founder of the Tudor dynasty, and has stood watch over the River Pembroke since the 11th century. Its vast stone walls and mighty round towers glow dramatically at night - a timeless symbol of Welsh history and resilience.

Straight out of the camera. Almost no edits, just cropped. I love the imperfections in this. The high ISO noise, the blur, the absence of sharpness from the silhouettes. =)
Explored @ 6!! :)
It didn’t back in the day but it does now. The Todd house, your wife's family home, is just a few blocks down.
My wonderful husband surprised me with a tripod the other day, so I took it with us to the reunion just in case and thought that the car lights on the highway might look interesting. This is Interstate 77 right near Canton, OH. (Explore--THANKS!)
A modern building is captured in black and white, with light trails from passing vehicles creating dynamic streaks along the street. The play of light and shadow emphasizes the architectural lines and urban atmosphere.
Last from february 24th. This is a video (just a regular video, not a time lapse). Came out ok, if a little grainy and my focus got distracted by some carlight. But still pretty cool.
We are now potentially expecting a volcano erruption cose to the capital and while of course I don't want anyone to get hurt or any properties to be damaged, I wouldn't hate seeing a volcano erruption with my own eyes (and photograph it! :D )
It's getting dark much earlier these days in Japan. Once a week I get to drive through these places that were once crawling with tourists during the bubble era and are now all but boarded up. Amazing really. Some of the hotels around here have amazing views of the rivers and mountains but if you're not making money in Tokyo, you're not coming out this way. And so the story goes across a lot of Japan.
I was awake pretty early this morning ( 4:45 AM ) and today's weather was very warm for the 22nd of December (11 degrees Celsius ) so i decided to head out and take some pictures, i set out to do some portraits with night bokeh in the back ground but that did not work out very well so i wondered around for an hour or two before finally snapping this beautiful sunrise with a hint of moon.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.
I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.
I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in and around the North East of England.
All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.
I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.
All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.
I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.
All of my pictures are copy right, © All rights reserved, you MAY NOT use any of my pictures without my written consent, you also MAY NOT change, alter, adjust or rearrange my pictures in anyway what so ever.

The glow at far right may be from the outer edges of the city of San Luis Obispo, though most of the city is far out of the frame. The glow at center I cannot determine.
Leica m9
Voigtlander 35mm 1.2
Shot a few hours ago in Redmond, WA.
I was going to continue with my street series from last saturday, but i was forced to interrupt the flow here, as i decided to jump in the evening fog for several hours tonight. I just couldn't miss it! fog was very dense in some areas of Marymoor Park. and Since there were training sessions on the soccer fields, you had a lot of cars but also insane halos above the trees.
i shot with the Leica m9 in my left hand, and the Ricoh GRD IV in the other or around the wrist. useless to say ... the very low light conditions were perfect for the m9+voigtlander 35mm 1.2 combo. the Ricoh GRD IV was struggling. i still managed to get a few awesome square shots, but nothing more. in the meantime, i was aligning a lot of exciting shots with the m9.
in other words, i LOVE this camera.
