When you smell a spring flower, it's as if the soul of that flower settles inside you! And then you become that flower for a short time!

Finally! I found some crocuses :)
Shot with Lensbaby Velvet 56 and 12mm extension tube. I was really happy with this bokeh - the lens rendered the surrounding ferns and car lights in a way that surprised and delighted me :)
You'll be seeing more crocuses on my stream soon.
Happy Weekend!
rushing through time... carrying travelers from one place to another...
So many different journeys... different stories...
Light trails of a car going through the Red Canyon Tunnel at night on Utah State Route 12 in the Red Canyon near Bryce Canyon, Utah
Hope you raise your cup
I wish that I could witness
All your joy and all your pain
But until my moment comes
I'll say
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places, the things that I did
Yeah with every broken bone
I swear I lived...
I shot this from a bridge over the M1 motorway near Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The M1 runs from London to Leeds and is largely straight which doesn't make for a very interesting shot, so I chose this location for its perfect vantage point over the curved section you see here. The glow on the horizon is from the city of Leeds in the distance.
I took several shots while I was there but decided to go with this one because I like how the headlights from the oncoming traffic are a nice white light. It seems that all of the vehicles passing during this particular 97 second exposure happened to have modern white LED or xenon lights, even the lorries. In all the other shots, the headlights were a much warmer yellow-white from the more traditional halogen lights.
The trip was tinged with a little sadness though. I didn't find out until after I returned home that, on this same night a little further south of here, a woman jumped to her death from another bridge over the M1 very close to where I live. Makes you think.
Long exposure of clouds and traffic at pre-dawn over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge near St. Petersburg, Florida. The Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway Bridge, often referred to as the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge spanning Lower Tampa Bay.
The progression of the lunar eclipse above the road between Denver and Boulder. This is a compilation of multiple shots of the moon as it rose, joined with the long-exposure of head- and tail-lights. I had planned to use a light painted windmill as the foreground instead, but when I did some advanced ground work on the windmill views the land owner threatened to prosecute me for trespassing. I thought the carlights would work as a leading line, and found a stretch of highway that faced east southeast towards the rising moon. In truth the base photo was taken a couple of days before the eclipse.
A horseshoe curve on Mulholland Drive seen from the Hollywood Bowl Overlook in Los Angeles California. The house on the hill was having a party that night, blasting some classic 80's rock tunes 😎
The Christmas lights in Castleton seemed fewer this year, undoubtedly because of the pubs and shops being closed due to Covid. So I've included a few car lights trails to add to the colourful scene.
Pearl Paint artist supply store on Canal Street at night, Chinatown, New York City. The Pearl Paint sign still glows in neon just off Canal Street in New York City. The colored facade served as a welcome mat to New York City artists of all levels and incomes.
40 minutes after sunset, the western sky is casting brilliant purple tones over the dune of Kramersdorf, a suburb of the Nambian Atlantic Coast town of Swakopmund. The light trails are cars on the Swakop->Walvis Bay highway.
“Let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of kings”—William Shakespeare, Richard II, Act 3, Scene 2
Quand un personnage nocturne perce les lumières électriques des voitures à l'aide d'une timide lampe frontale dans un brouillard qui s'épaissit, on peut encore et toujours tomber sur un Foutographe qui rôde...!
Décidément...!
