Carl wark is a rocky promontory on Hathersage moor in the Peak District National park. The promontory is faced by vertical cliffs on all but one side, which is protected by a prehistoric embankment. The cliffs and embankment form an enclosure that has been interpreted as an Iron age hillfort perhaps dating from the 8th to the 5th centuries BC. It has been described as being unlike any other found in Northern England.

There was still some misty atmosphere looking towards Padley Gorge so I started looking in that direction for compositions. The early light on the bracken and rocks looked too nice to ignore.

Fuente de Carlos v
El Pilar de Carlos V, está situado en el bosque de la Alhambra, muy cerca de la puerta de la Justicia, una de las entradas de la Alhambra.
Su estructura ensalzaba la grandeza del Emperador, y sirvió como abrevadero de las caballería de Carlos V.
Una pila rectangular, tres calles centradas por mascarones que expulsan caños de agua por la boca, el semicírculo superior encierra el escudo imperial.
Un lugar perfecto para descansar en el gran banco de piedra bajo la sombra de los árboles.

Drove down to the Historic Carl Sandberg Property on Saturday morning and walked around Side Lake. It was gently raining and the colors were amazing. The Carl Sandburg National Historic Site is located near Hendersonville in the village of Flat Rock, North Carolina, and was the home of Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and writer Carl Sandburg. The 264-acre site includes the Sandburg residence, the goat farm, rolling pastures, mountainside woods, 5 miles of hiking trails and two small lakes.

A back lit view of the Iron Age Hill Fort in Burbage valley.
When I'd first arrived, this area had no fog so I spent most of my time shooting towards the inversion in Hope Valley. I eventually worked my way back to this view as the mist rose up after sunrise. this was taken just in time. Moments later, I was engulfed in the fog.
I think I saw the back of Pete Quinn's head. He looked busy so I didn't say hello. I've never met him, but I saw his photo. Pete was more patient than me and caught the moment the mist started to form over Burbage Valley...

Cet arbuste nain, à cime arrondie, atteint 1,50 m de hauteur pour une largeur de 1,50 m. Le feuillage caduc, vert clair au printemps et en été, devient rouge pourpre en automne.Le nôtre au bout de 20 ans mesure 2 m de haut. C’est un arbre plutôt rustique qui peut supporter des température de -20°C.

This dwarf shrub, with rounded tops, reaches a height of 1.50 m and a width of 1.50 m. The deciduous foliage, light green in spring and summer, turns purple red in autumn.Ours after 20 years is 2 m high. It is a rather hardy tree that can withstand temperatures of -20°C.
