In the name of accountability, I feel I ought to reveal what I ate yesterday. Ready?
2 slices of cold pizza (chicken, mushrooms, olives and garlic butter) at the top of Tom Heights (recce)
Part of a Gregg's Cheese and Onion Bake (binned, vile)
1 packet of Doritos Cool Original
1 Peanut Chunky Kitkat
That saw me through to about 12 when I'd finished photographing Mary's Shell. Hmm, I can't really turn up to my sister's hungry...
1 quarterpounder with cheese
3 mozzarella bites
Sister's house:
Toffee Crisp
Then managed to make it all the way through to 5pm:
3 slices of garlic bread (goats cheese and caramelised onion 😍)
Chicken with a Diane sauce (the 80s called and want their sauce back)
Chocolate icecream rolled in meringue and hazelnuts.
-- The end --
This is what eating carbs does to me, I turn into a voracious bottomless pit 😂

Its old, greasy and ugly. But I was taken with the intricate details of this carburetor on a vintage tractor engine.

An odd everyday carry, but for the last 55 years I have always had to ensure I have to hand a quick acting source of carbohydrate.
Diabetes has changed part of my life into counting everything. How many carbs does it have per serving, how many servings am I having, how high are my blood sugars, how long did I exercise, when did I eat, when do I test. And then I write it down and keep track of it all.
HOLA !! HELLO!! WITAM !!! SALUTATIONS!!!
Today is a pink day at Color my World Daily and the theme at the fabulous Smile on Saturday! Group is sweets for my sweet. So pink sweets are the inspiration for my picture!
People, this has to stop!! Since last weekend (the 8th) I cannot stop eating sweets!! Usually I’m very disciplined about my diet but lately it is been awful. Each time I go near my kitchen area some carbs are screaming my name!! “magda627, magda627 we are in the kitchen!! Come and get us!”…. (wasn’t that a title of a song ??). I swear I can hear the chocolates, candies, gummy bears, M&M’s, caramels, cookies and even candied orange peels (which I made all by myself and just to make sure, I doubled the sugar in the recipe because I ended up with sooooo much more orange peels than suggested…well they turned out delicious…. but very sweet) are calling me softly (wasn’t that a title of a song ??? …) from the kitchen…. My scale is freaking out each morning!!! My clothes are giving me the stinky eye…And I don’t know how to explain to my brand-new pants (yes, they were a gift from me to me, for my birthday) that they are not the right size for the job anymore!!! Ok, drastic solution: I will put all my sweets in a beautiful basket and gave them up for adoption… A Valentines gift for my sweet husband: sweets for my sweet! Here you go! Perfect idea! But wait… just one more caramel and I’m done! No more sweets until Easter…. Oh shoot. Who am I kidding…? I’m pathetic and so full of chocolate!!!!
Plan B: eat every single candy in my house while everyone is asleep or playing video game and blame it on the husband. Then I will be able to get back on track…but what if I have to buy more candies to replace the eaten ones because the kids are too sad that daddy ate all the candies…. There is no escape from the carbs for me. I’m doomed…
Oh wait ! I hear my name again… but in Cuban Spanish… oh that must be the rum calling me again !
Have a beautiful pink and sweet day!! Happy Smile on Saturday and happy Color My World Daily to all participants!! And let’s eat candies all weekend!!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts / positive vibes!! It is truly appreciated! Have a great day and see you soon!!

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. A somewhat unusual slogan to have on a t-shirt, unless it's her new year resolution - to burn off more carbs. I loved the shot though - enjoy!
This engine's carb is really cute. It's got something like 2 moving parts: the choke lever and the throttle plunger.
