Michael Yastrzemski (Vanderbilt) is congratulated by his Cotuit teammates after hitting a homerun in Game 3. The homerun put Cotuit up 3-0, and the Kettleers never looked back. The Andover, MA native hit .235 in the regular season while driving in 17 runs. Michael is also the grandson of Major League Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski and follows in his grandfather’s footsteps playing left field.
This is our garden fence during the height of the blizzard we had last week. We had hurricane force winds and the entire state had a driving ban for 24 hrs. And as usual the next day was absolutely gorgeous blue skies.

"There was a time when it wasn't uncommon to use a piece of string to guide words that might otherwise falter on the way to their destinations. Shy people carried a little bundle of string in their pockets, but people considered loudmouths had no less need for it, since those used to being overheard by everyone were often at a loss for how to make themselves heard by someone. The physical distance between two people using a string was small; sometimes the smaller the distance, the greater the need for a piece of string.
The practice of attaching cups to the end of the string came much later."
