He only stayed around for a few seconds before vanishing into thin air.

You have to really look to see the swimmers...

Photographed on Cape Cod in Massachusetts, USA, 26Nov2009. Processed in PS nine years later on 22April2018.

For the past 15 years or so, we get together for a week of biking, swimming in ponds, cooking up feasts, and eating at fish-shacks all the fried delectables with no guilt. Three of us were playmates from birth as our Moms were best friends. This is the obligatory group shot with the camera timer.

When looking at this picture, my initial reaction is that it reminds me of summer and warm weather. However it was very cold when taking this shot, to the point where my hands were freezing, and you might notice that the sea grass has gone by. It is called "Anticipation" as I am ready for summer to come, and anticipating breathing in the relaxing, warm sea air.

Race Point, Provincetown, Cape Cod, Barnstable Co., MA.

Humpback whale exhaling through the blowhole on top of it's head. This was an interesting day when my wife and I went out on the whale watching boat. It was a cool cloudy day so the whale boat was far from full which made my day easier not having to jostle along the railings to get a spot. Also there was a strong wind which produced very choppy waves which got several people with weaker stomachs heaving over the rails even though they offer free Dramamine at the beginning of the trip but there were enough people who never have been a boat in rough seas in their lives. The rough seas made getting a good shot harder as the boat was constantly bobbing up and down which necessitated a decently high enough shutter speed. Still didn't get that coveted breach shot of a humpback that I keep hopping for. Hopefully the next time I make it to the West Coast I take a couple whale watching tours and my luck will be better.

A cold, deserted, and peaceful cape cod during the winter. It's always such a pleasure visiting my grandparents in Massachusetts this time of the year.

On Cape Cod at 145 Pleasant Street in S. Chatham.

This time, Sue made it into the composition! We would have stayed out longer, but it was so incredibly cold, and the wind was right in our faces. I think we lasted about 15 minutes total.
