I can just imagine how spectacular places like this are at sunset...the problem with long road trips is being in places for only short periods of time. We drove from California (actually from Phoenix to Ca to OR to WA to MO SD etc back to Nova Scotia so we could never stay in one place for long enough. Now that I am addicted to being a grandmother I may never get back...at least I have lots of photos to enjoy.
Bubba said he had a piece of salmon stuck in his nose and he wanted me to get it out for him. I knew it was a trick though and I didn't fall for it.
No super blood moon for me, but this is from a pretty magical morning in February, just before dawn. By no means a quality shot, but I think you can sense the atmosphere....
"Can you help me?....... the blue waves are coming to take me away......", says the Blue-eyes-Sand.......
"You should not be afraid", answers the wind. "They won't take you away. They will show you the world and its miracles. Our life is a journey. We must lead it to the edge, not let it passing by. So let the waves guide you in their music and I'll hold your hand... "

Newlywed couples in Moscow are expected to kiss on a bridge on their wedding day. As part of this tradition, the couple must attach a padlock with their names and vows written on it, to a metal tree on the bridge, and throw the key in the river to symbolize faithfulness and enduring love.

I covered these cans with air drying clay. Before I colored the clay with food color (nothing else was at home). After drying, I embellished them with gold foil (metal, not real gold:-)). Finish was a matt clear coat.

.....but you can't hide.
Was sat on a bench in the garden trying to catch a bird near one of the feeders when I heard the crows wings flap low overhead and settle in the old apple tree near me. I scanned and scanned through my 20x magnifier on the LCD but couldn't find him, despite the dark and light contrast, I was about to give up when I passed over him as he moved and I picked up the movement not the shape. Gotcha! :^)
While I can't be without the 20x, the one problem with it is that it reduces the visible area on the LCD drastically, perhaps down to 5%, so on a large zoom tis a bit needle and haystackish with Mr Magoo looking for the needle. Fortunately, he moved as I passed over him otherwise, even at that size I would have missed him.

My last photo from the Berlin government district (which you can find in the first comment) was taken from the Kronprinzenbrücke (Crown Prince Bridge); in that image, you could only see one of the rusty fenders of that bridge; since I'd also uploaded two other images before where you can only see a small part of the Crown Prince Bridge (please check the album, if you like), I thought it's about time to upload a photo of the bridge itself. I have two different versions, taken from both sides of the Spree, which differ quite considerably in their "look and feel", although the bridge itself looks pretty much the same, of course, so it was difficult to choose which I'd upload first. This photo is the more harmonious version because there isn't so much going on in the background – the buildings you can see here are the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (on the left), and the building of the Bundespressekonferenz (Federal Press Conference; on the right) –, while in the other photo of the Crown Prince Bridge which I'd taken four days before this there are the more well-known governmental buildings plus a "slice" of the berlin cube in the background, and there are also nice drama clouds.
So stay tuned for the "drama version" of the Crown Pince Bridge which is even more of a slider than this one; you will see it on one of the future Slider Sundays :)
This final image is an HDR made from exposure bracketing consisting of three single images which I've combined in HDR Efex, and which I've sliderified in Lightroom with the masking tool, and in Color Efex Pro with various filters.
The Crown Prince Bridge was designed by famous Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava. His style is unique and the design of his buildings is so distinctive that I think you will always easily recognize a Calatrava design once you've seen one of his constructions. To me, his constructions often have a distinctive sci-fi touch, and they also remind me of alien or futuristic exoskeletons, but that's probably just me ;) The origins of the Crown Prince Bridge date back to 1709, when a simple wooden bascule bridge, the "Thiergartenbrücke", was erected across the Spree. Much later, from 1877 to 1879, a new wrought-iron bridge was built in the current location, and that bridge was named "Kronprinzenbrücke" in honour of Prussian Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm (Frederick III) who later was German Emperor for 99 days until his death in 1888. That bridge was heavily damaged in WWII. Since it connected the Berlin boroughs of Tiergarten (West-Berlin) and Mitte (East-Berlin), it was finally torn down in 1961 after the Berlin Wall had been erected. The new Crown Prince Bridge which was opened in 1996 was the first new bridge construction that (re-)connected the former Western and Eastern sectors after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

Can snails smile? This tiny juvenile snail certainly looks like it could have a cute little smile on its face as it swings from the stamen of a white rhododendron flower.

A single flower from my white rhododendron was brought into my conservatory out of the strong breeze, and positioned where it could be backlit by morning sunshine coming through the window. The backlight shows off the translucence of the tiny snail's body and shell.
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph.
The small island of Inchgarvie sits in the Firth of Forth, beneath the Forth Rail Bridge.
In the spring of 1879 work started on the island for a proposed bridge over the Forth that was never built. Today you can still see the column of bricks that were built for the bridge. the castle dates from 1490 and was used as a prison in 1519-1671.
In 1779 cannons were mounted here when John Paul Jones threatened the Firth of Forth
One can see, that his thoughts are well placed on the ball, in his mind and contemplating for making the right move on it!
I spotted this cool young footballer, playing on the Cadbury Men's Recreation Grounds, Bournville.
It's good to see that some are getting out and enjoying in what they love, in spite of the many restrictions that are for social gatherings, from the Government COVID-19 regulations on groups activities!
