This is a different photo of the lost dog Tank that showed up at my gate one day. This was shot the same day as the last photo but processed a bit different. Such a sweet dog. His soul was so kind and loving. I'll never forget that.

This is a close-up of this gorgeous German Short haired Pointer I posted a few days ago. This is a huge crop to just make a portrait.

When you lose at playing cards to the dog. Pip looks rather smug.

I spent some time with the grand kids the past few days. I was able to see my oldest grandson graduate from Temple University in Philadelphia. A great trip.

This gorgeous Samoyed was spotted in Lincoln Park Dog Park. What a beauty! Doesn't melt either...;-)

I'm not a bad dog, these bunnies clearly have a problem.

This rock formation looks somewhat like a crouching dog, perhaps a poodle. Or perhaps it is an alien creature of some sort.

There were so many fascinating formations at the Bisti Badlands it was like walking into a Star Wars set.

Jasper tries to make sense of the petroglyphs etched on the canyon walls by the Hohokam tribe some time during the first millennium AD. He says that they're instructions on giving your dog more treats and more play. Go figure.

The walls of Hieroglyphic Canyon, outside of Gold Canyon, Arizona are covered with petroglyphs. They are fairly well preserved and intact given that there are people climbing all over the rocks on a daily basis. You can see one of the petroglyphs on the rock Jasper is standing on.

(Is being a canine anthropologist ironic? I don't know. Maybe not)

Our Papillon Rigsy having fun at the lake.

Beauty: Ears that resemble the outspread wings of a butterfly, a long flowing coat, and plumed tail all contribute to the Papillon’s elegant grace. Lovers of the breed refer to it as “sensible glamour” because Papillons are relatively easy to groom. In fact the phrase, “I woke up like this” may have been coined with the Papillon in mind.

Brains: Papillons can be trained to do almost anything. They thrive on mental stimulation and work. Far from being just ornamental, the Papillon’s trainability and eagerness to please help him excel in everything from dog sports to tricks to the show ring. Papillons also tend to learn from every experience, whether good or bad, so consistent, positive training is a must. With all that brainpower, there’s no end to what you can teach him.

Versatility: These lively, alert little dogs are good at everything they try. In fact, they’re one of the most popular toy breed in obedience trials. They do well in agility, too, and seem to fly over the obstacle course. They’re also natural retrievers; try one out with a miniature Frisbee and see who gets tired first.

One of the family of foxes that live in our garden and who have adopted us as their diet supplementers! We have known this male since he was a small cub.

More dog pics, some of you love them, some of you less so I'm sure, that said I love capturing my boys, great fun.

Hello

Today’s theme for the Smile on Saturday group is ‘Sky’.

To me the cloud looks like a dog running in full flight. Head to the left , tail to the right…..Or it might just be a cloud!!!!!

As the hallucinogenic drugs take hold (joke!) I’m now wondering if it’s a flying pig? I’m actually coming to the conclusion, I probably need to get out more!!!!

Thanks for visiting.

Happy Smile on Saturday.
