I spent some time with the grand kids the past few days. I was able to see my oldest grandson graduate from Temple University in Philadelphia. A great trip.
This gorgeous Samoyed was spotted in Lincoln Park Dog Park. What a beauty! Doesn't melt either...;-)

Remembering Suki
Remembering Suki, our beautiful Saluki who died suddenly & so unexpectedly a year ago today.

This rock formation looks somewhat like a crouching dog, perhaps a poodle. Or perhaps it is an alien creature of some sort.
There were so many fascinating formations at the Bisti Badlands it was like walking into a Star Wars set.
It was one of the those golden moments that made me smile. Luca, the puppy, had been playing with Phoebe and just didn't want the older dog to take a break.
Instead of growling at the young pup, Phoebe patiently tolerated a series of loud barks in her ear until Luca had shared her frustration. I was so pleased I had my camera in hand and could record this canine moment at the park.
Out of all fairness to Milo this is one of the photos from his recent photo shoot. Milo is aware of everything around him, if a bird flies over he sees it, if a plane flies over he is aware. My son who is in the military said that Milo is situation aware. I would agree!
I do believe that we do not fully know what God intend when He created our canine fur kids. So, when I get there I would like to ask Him about it.
Jasper tries to make sense of the petroglyphs etched on the canyon walls by the Hohokam tribe some time during the first millennium AD. He says that they're instructions on giving your dog more treats and more play. Go figure.
The walls of Hieroglyphic Canyon, outside of Gold Canyon, Arizona are covered with petroglyphs. They are fairly well preserved and intact given that there are people climbing all over the rocks on a daily basis. You can see one of the petroglyphs on the rock Jasper is standing on.
(Is being a canine anthropologist ironic? I don't know. Maybe not)
