Hi, thank you everyone who has sent me messages of support. Obviously due to me recovering I have not been on here much lately but now that I am recovering I intend being here much more frequently. The operation was a success, kidney and cancer tumor has been removed, the surgeon also took three lymph nodes and some fatty tissue that was in the area around it.
I am going to be taking part in a drug trial for an immunotherapy drug which is designed to help prevent the cancer from returning and I have an appointment at the Beatson Oncology Centre in about 4 weeks to get that started.
I am physically feeling great, much more so than I have done for a very long time, mentally I am dealing with some low mood and anxiety but that is also part of the journey. I am looking forward to getting back to my favourite hills and mountains in the next few weeks as I continue my recovery. Well, so long as there is no further lockdowns to prevent me from doing so.
I hope that you are doing well and again for the support and messages received directly, I thank you. Looking at your photos here on Flickr has been a great help during my recovery.
Every year, the month of October takes on shades of pink to remind us that prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer save lives. The symbolic gesture was born from social mobilization and continues as a collective call.
On October 19th, World Breast Cancer Day is celebrated, a date that reinforces the global commitment to women's lives. Far from being just a milestone on the calendar, it reminds us that research and information save lives, access transforms, and care needs to be constant. It is a reminder that confronting breast cancer requires continuity, structure, and empathy at every stage of the journey.
Every year in October, the "Dr. Arnaldo Cancer Institute," a philanthropic hospital, holds an event in a public square that offers free information, guidance, and mammograms to anyone who wants them.

At some time in our lives we a get a wake-up call. It gives us a shake and a slap which reawakens our senses. My dear wife Judith will survive the breast cancer but I find myself holding simple items of hers like these earrings and thinking "What if ......"
I Almost Lost You
Music and Lyrics by Rosie Gaines, Frances Jules, & LaToya Gaines
I had a dream woke up in a cold sweat
scared me so much I'll never forget
I opened my eyes thank God you were still there
lost in my dream searching the sky
felt so alone I started to cry
I opened my eyes you're still asleep
I asked the lord you-n-my soul to keep
floating together up in the sky
if this is a dream then I'm wondering why
I had a dream I almost lost you
I had a dream I almost lost you
I had a dream I almost lost you
Being a landscape photographers, the natural pattern for us as photographers was to travel and practice hiking to search for rare or distinctive scenes, so the matter would be a great trouble and hardship that the photographer would be exposed to throughout his trip.
Than after completing the travel trip and returning home, the stage of sorting the photos that were taken begins, so that the final result is a few works that I can call distinctive works, And after this long struggle, you find the outcome with the entry of artificial intelligence cancer, which enabled some geeks to appear and collect likes from the audience by creating visual chaos that affected the viewer and made him not appreciate the real art and the effort of photographers with people in less than a few minutes while he was sitting at his desk by making fake scenes.
Therefore, dividing lines must be drawn between real art and fake art
Cancer Pagurus. Commonly known as the Edible crab or Brown crab. This guy is huge probably the biggest iv`e seen . Sadly this one was washed up on the beach. The shell is at least 12 to 16 inches across. A real monster Crab.
the doctors always refer to the radiation treatments as the easy part of the cancer treatment... i guess nothing is easy about cancer... after 28 treatments over 5.5 weeks... the radiation did its job as you can see by the nasty red burn... the good news is that v finished the radiation treatments on tuesday... so the cancer has officially had its butt kicked... YAY!! all that's left is cosmetic reconstruction... v&i meet with her plastic surgeon in a few weeks... he'll assess the radiation damage and determine when he can complete the reconstruction... it will likely be this fall...
we plan to do a little celebrating this weekend... (and if you look closely... v's hair is making a nice comeback!!)

Câncer
Vamos chorar?
-Aquele dia você não me ofereceu pastel. Você é egoísta, não pensa nos outros.
E você fica ali pasmado, tentando entender aquilo.
Rsrsrsrsrsrrsrsrrs.
Today's a special day for us. This is to give definite hope to anyone who has cancer, has had cancer or who knows someone with cancer. My other half was operated on 5 years ago and had his left lung removed. Here he is now! I can't keep up with him. :o)

- Though some depictions of Cancer feature a lobster, the sign is most often represented by the crab, based on the Karkinos, a giant crab that harassed Heracles during his fight with the Hydra.
- Cancer is the fourth of the 12 signs of the zodiac, which begins its cycle at the start of summer during Cancer season - which falls around June 21-July 22.
- It’s important to understand the energy of this sign, as various planets travel (or “transit”) through Cancer all year long, activating this sign’s watery energy for everyone, regardless of your Sun sign.

This is my daughter, Jill. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer when she was 3 years old. I posted this picture to honor her. Jill was a fighter through her surgery and then continued the battle with chemo and radiation treatments. She is an inspiration to us and we are extremely thankful that we still have her with us! ...Never stop smiling! :)

With over 3 million women battling breast cancer today, everywhere you turn there is a mother, daughter, sister, or friend who has been affected by breast cancer.

October is breast cancer month.Breast cancer is a disease that has many forms and affects both men and women. The cancer not only affects the people diagnosed with it, but the families of those loved ones. Many people lose their family members and friends to this horrid disease. Many people acknowledge that breast cancer exists, and accept the fact that it exists. Its time we acknowledge the problem and reject its existence. Its existence is not okay as it not only harms people’s bodies, but takes their lives away. It is time to do something. Sadly, research is expensive.
Throughout this month, this blog will post facts about breast cancer and post pictures that can be bought. The money that the pictures collect will go towards breast cancer research and awareness funds. The prints can be bought at any price you wish to donate ( minimum 6$). If you are interested in donating, leave a message in the ask box or flickr message me and I will get back to you with more details. It is time to do something about this disease. It is time to put an end to its reign of terror. It is time to act.
