I can always trust my young boys to find interesting small subjects to photograph. This caterpillar was found on a brick lamppost under a Sitka Spruce at the end of our driveway two summers ago. (Western Tussock Moth: Orgyia vetusta, formerly Hemerocampa vetusta).

No super blood moon for me, but this is from a pretty magical morning in February, just before dawn. By no means a quality shot, but I think you can sense the atmosphere....

The fall season for Grizzly Bears is all about eating. Some items consumed during fall include: pond weed root, sweet cicely root, bistort root, yampa root, strawberry, globe huckleberry, grouse whortleberry, buffaloberry, clover, horsetail, dandelion, ants, false truffles, and army cutworm moths.
I covered these cans with air drying clay. Before I colored the clay with food color (nothing else was at home). After drying, I embellished them with gold foil (metal, not real gold:-)). Finish was a matt clear coat.

You can get star trails even in cities with lots of light pollution. About 18 mo ago, I took photos at night in Sydney. I didn't get as many star trails as I had hoped for but did get lots of plane trails.
I tried again later this time after the planes stop flying in and out of Sydney's main airport at 11 pm. I also used a different lens. The only problem I had was it was quite windy which caused a bit of camera shake even though the camera was on a tripod. At least I did not have to worry about dew on the camera or lens. This image is a composite of 113 photos.

Was sat on a bench in the garden trying to catch a bird near one of the feeders when I heard the crows wings flap low overhead and settle in the old apple tree near me. I scanned and scanned through my 20x magnifier on the LCD but couldn't find him, despite the dark and light contrast, I was about to give up when I passed over him as he moved and I picked up the movement not the shape. Gotcha! :^)
While I can't be without the 20x, the one problem with it is that it reduces the visible area on the LCD drastically, perhaps down to 5%, so on a large zoom tis a bit needle and haystackish with Mr Magoo looking for the needle. Fortunately, he moved as I passed over him otherwise, even at that size I would have missed him.
We can do and we’ve got to do better than this :-)
