I know I have posted this image before, it was a few years ago when I did, but after a slight retouch in Lightroom it has brought out more detail, like the little green glow above the peaks, I never noticed this natural wonder that goes on in the skies above our heads before, but after mastering the basics in Lightrooms fantastic program i'm more than happy with this edit.

This must be Campervan Heaven, its owner has stayed in this spot for three weeks so far. It’s a stunning place to stay, and it’s very quiet !!. This camping field is at Parsley Hay in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire. It’s also a very nice VW Campervan.

It’s a beautiful looking vehicle, it certainly has the wow factor.
The trinity has been completed: I've built all three silly icons of the Topgear Motorhome challenge, as birthday gifts for a friend. This one was built within the span of a day, back in March actually.
As with the others, I had a lot of fun translating reference material into small and simple form with some complex techniques.
I was so short on time that I photographed it on the build table and not with a background. Also no good shot with all three since I don't (yet) have a copy of James' Lotus.
As sort of an update, I'm very busy these days. My non-LEGO activities in weekends have seemingly tripled. Lots of things running parallel. I have too many unfinished WIPs for my taste, but building is at a snail's pace. I'm pretty sure I'm building character, though, and gaining valuable life experience. Which is nice to have too. ;)

Something Beginning With " C " -- In Black & White .
Well - you very nearly did not get this shot , I have seen the caravan and campervan here a number of times and even walked past here on my way to the shops !! It was not until I got to the shops and saw another campervan that made me think of " C " & SSC shot - duh !!
While I was there by the parked cars I even bumped into a cousin of mine , another " C " , but I do not do people shots as a rule . Therefore , on the way back I made the point of taking the shot here - I took just two shots from slightly different angles and the second shot was this one and a better balanced scene .
Been an interesting challenge this week , taken a number of different shots , some of which I have posted earlier this week on my photo-page . I also tried a few shots on Thursday while at Earlswood Lakes of some coots - but they were not working well at all !!

La Renault Goélette a été l'une des fourgonnettes les plus populaires dans la France des années 1950/1960. Elle a été largement utilisée par toutes les administrations, notamment par les PTT pour l'acheminement du courrier5, la Gendarmerie6, par la Police7 comme « panier à salade » et enfin les artisans.

This Bedford CA was photographed on the front parked up in Felixstowe after arriving on the Ipswich road run in 2002.
PADDY: “Scout! Bogart! Rosie!” *Looks around.* “Where are you?”
SCOUT: “Paddy! Paddy!” *Distant.*
*BEEP! BEEP!*
PADDY: “Scout! Scout is that you?”
SCOUT: “Yes! It’s me!” *BEEP! BEEP!* “Rosie, Bogart and me!” *BEEP! BEEP!* “We’re over here!”
PADDY: “Where?”
SCOUT: “Follow the sound of the horn, Paddy! Come and see!” *BEEP! BEEEEP!*
PADDY: *Follows sound of horn honking down the footpath.* “Goodness Scout! You’re in a camper van!”
SCOUT: “Hullo Paddy!” *Leans out of window. And waves enthusiastically.* “I know! And look! It’s pink! My favourite colour! Isn’t it glamorous?” *Strokes camper van’s door lovingly with paw.*
PADDY: “Goodness yes, Scout! It’s very striking!”
BOGART: “And it’s American too!” *Smiles.*
PADDY: “Oh! Hullo Bogart!” *Waves to Bogart.*
BOGART: “Hullo Paddy!” *Waves to Paddy from the passenger seat.*
PADDY: “How do you know its American, Bogart?”
BOGART: “Because the driver sits on the left-hand side!”
SCOUT: *Beeps horn. BEEP! BEEP!*
BOGART: “It’s very comfortable in here.” *Shuffles bottom on seat.*
PADDY: “But where did the campervan come from, Scout and Bogart?”
SCOUT: “Well, since your magic didn’t turn my pumpkin into a Scoutarella coach, Paddy...”
PADDY: “Well, I never actually said I had any magic, Scout.”
SCOUT: “Well, evidently the faeries were listening and they took pity on me, and provided this wonderful pink camper van for us. It was just sitting here under the tree, waiting to be driven.”
PADDY: “But Scout! You don’t know how to drive!” *Alarmed.*
SCOUT: *Oh Paddy!” *Giggles.* “Don’t worry! I will get some help from Daddy. I’ll tell him where to direct the camper van, and he can push it!”
BOGART: “That way we get the best of both worlds, Paddy! We can feel like we are driving, whilst being driven.” *Giggles.* "Think of it like an auto-pilot."
SCOUT: “Why don’t you get in the back with Rosie, Paddy? She is exploring the living areas of the camper van. Apparently, there is a stove, and even a refrigerator!”
BOGART: “Hopefully the faeries continue to provide, and there is food inside it! Grumbly tummy! Paddy! Grumbly tummy!” *Rubs tummy vigorously.*
SCOUT: “Grumbly tummy! Paddy! Grumbly tummy!” *Rubs tummy vigorously.*
Imagine the delight of Paddy, Scout, Bogart and Rosie when, whilst on a walk with me the other day, they came across a Barbie Dream Camper Van from 2017, left out on the footpath along with some other toys for anyone… or anybear to take! Recycling at its best!
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Bogart has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. He has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.
On 8th March 1950 VW began production of a Beetle-based transporter van, slightly resembling a box on wheels, at the rate of 10 vehicles per day. In 1951 they introduced the Westfalia camper van, which featured additional windows, and was fitted out internally with cooking and sleeping facilities. The camper van proved to be extremely popular and continued in production until 1967, when the last van with the distinctive double front windows 'splittie' rolled off the production line, VW had produced 1,477,330 of these Type two vehicles .

When our much loved classic VW campervan, Katy the Camper, was getting a lot of work done last year I treated her to a new set of hub caps to complement her lovely new paintwork. This is the centre of an old rusty one. Digging them out for this reminded me that I must get the set polished up and put on ebay. HMM one and all.

On the morning of day 8 of our campervan trip (read about it and see more photos on my blog: www.ankhphotography.net/blog ) the lenticular clouds were forming over the Southern Alps at dawn, caused by the strong westerly wind blowing.
Here a lenticular cloud sits over Mt Pollux about 40 kilometers to the south east of us.
Took this on top of the stone wall of the cottage I was staying in, located in Burtonport, Donegal Ireland.
I have a few loves in life, night photographying being the main one, followed by Campervans, and my childhood love LEGO. Started playing about with LEGO again recently seen as my son is crazy about it, but my wife bought me the campervan for christmas, took me 2 days to build and was worth it effort and money.
