Finally! A live snake sighting this year in the hood! My fabulous friend spotted this black rat snake crossing the street by my house and she called to alert me. We watched this guy slither off and disappear into the brush between our back yards.

Almost 1am and 82 degrees upstairs...the heat and an idea have Thing One still awake. He's building and programming a robotic Lego arm to launch a beyblade at the same time as him so he can battle his own beys. He's almost finished.

Tom Church built a hotel on this site in 1896. Depicted on the porch are Bert Simpson holding his son William, Justice of the Peace Jesse Wilkerson, whose office was next door, attorney Ben Smith, veterinarian Dr. O. A. Spence, and young Isbin Giddens. Wallace Thigpen had just arrived in his Touring Car,This gathering place accommodated boarders and local organizations until it was destroyed by fire on December 14, 1941. Born in Canada around 1855, Tom Church came to this area as a teenager to work in his uncle's blacksmith shop. He came to Milltown as a blacksmith, a service he continued for forty years in a shop behind his hotel. The hotel was a long wooden structure with a large, shady front porch, furnished with a row of much-used rocking chairs. The floor of the hotel's spacious living room was graced with a wine colored oriental rug with a floral design. On cool days the fireplace was a favored gathering place for the frequent visitors. Behind the hotel, a high fence surrounded a garden which produced a variety of vegetables for the hotel dining table.

This one...this ONE is so good! I know it doesn't look delicious, but it is. I call it Blueberry Cake. My carnivore man tried it, and he agreed it was delicious and tasted like cake. Bam! This baby has one cup unsweetened almond milk, two massive handfuls spinach, vanilla protein powder, drizzle almond extract, drizzle vanilla, butter, nut extract {the cake flavor secret}, half frozen banana, five frozen cherries, handful frozen blueberries, six ice cubes.
