My 6yo went artistic with her return address. I'm the red head mom, she's the brown haired girl. Her brothers are the mohawk and shaggy head. Don't know why dad got left out.
Washington, Georgia’s ninth county and first in the nation to be named for George Washington, was created in 1784 for granting land to soldiers for Revolutionary War services.
Court House Square, located on the old stage coach road from Louisville to Milledgeville, is on the Dixie and Nancy Hart Highways.
The present Court House Building, the third, was erected in 1899. The first was burned in “the great fire” March 24, 1855, when only five buildings in the entire town were left. The second, built with a tax levied by the State Legislature, was burned in 1864 by Sherman on his “March to the Sea.”
It is claimed that more Confederate soldiers went from Washington county than from any other county in the state. Fifteen military companies were organized here.
Washington County has furnished two Governors - Jared Irwin, 1796 to 1798 and 1806 to 1809, and Thomas W. Hardwick, 1921 to 1923. Gov. Hardwick also had served as United States Senator and Congressman.

A fountain and (shallow) pool smack bam in the middle of Oslo, alongside Karl Johan street, a mere stone throw from the Parliament ("Stortinget"). On warm summer days you can often see people cooling their toes in the water. In winter, as pictured, it serves as playground for people with knives on their feet. The name "Spikersuppa" means "nail soup", and is taken from an old folk tale which I will refrain from reciting here due to the lateness of the hour.
Last time I went ice skating was here, twelve years ago, with my oldest daughter.

The number sequence 12.12.12 12:12:12 is the twelfth and utterly last completely repetitive time and date combination you or I will ever see – barring invention of time travel and/or immortality, of course – unless you are very, very young and plan on living a long, long time.
In my case, as a welcome bonus, the temperature decided to tag along for the occasion, bringing the number of twelves up to a lucky seven. The meaning of this, if any, is of course up for interpretation, but it is rather a beautiful winter day :)
Where was I at 12:12:12 on 12.12.12? Right here, on my way to catch the bus to work, which leaves at 12:18 (and for once was disturbingly right on time). I had just the moment that I needed to take this picture, and still catch the bus with two minutes to spare.
This particular piece of landscape is a personal favourite of mine, which I happen to walk past almost every day. It's just a small pocket of farmland with a small, twisting river running through it, but I do rather enjoy how it's framed by the trees and the low hills, and how it catches the light in a fairy-tale kind of fashion, almost as if it was part of the Hundred Acre Wood.
Though I was carrying my Nikon, as I usually do, I decided on the iPhone for this shot, simply because it was more about the moment than about the photo quality.

The family and I had just arrived at our cabin along the Shenendoah River just outside Luray, VA for a rafting trip. This lovely scene was just a few yards from the cabin.
We pranked the kids for April Fools' Day. They walked home from a sleepover at their grandparents' to see a For Sale sign in our yard. We told them we were selling it all to buy a bus and travel the country with their dad since he's traveling so much with his job. They said it was a worthy prank.
I've taken so many sunrise and sunset pictures, I'm kinda stumped for finding new and creative titles for them. Won't let that stop me though.

Awesome post-workout make it up as I go Green Monster: 1 C unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1/2C leftover cold coffee, 1/2C puréed pumpkin, 1 frozen banana, handful frozen mango cubes, cinnamon to taste, and massive handful of spinach. So yummy!
I've not really explored what it's fully capable of yet, but so far I'm properly impressed with the pictures you can get out of the iPhone 4S. That, from a camera phone? Amazing!
