La abadía de los Hombres (actualmente iglesia abacial de Saint-Étienne o San Esteban) es una de las dos grandes abadías, junto con la abadía de las Damas, fundadas en la ciudad normanda de Caen, en el departamento francés de Calvados, por Guillermo el Conquistador. La construcción de la iglesia se inició el año 1065 y las obras de la misma finalizaron en 1077
The Abbey of Men (now the Abbey Church of Saint-Étienne or Saint Stephen) is one of the two great abbeys, along with the Abbey of the Ladies, founded in the Norman city of Caen, in the French department of Calvados, by William the Conqueror. The construction of the church began in 1065 and its work was completed in 1077.
L'abbaye des Hommes (aujourd'hui église abbatiale Saint-Étienne ou Saint-Étienne) est l'une des deux grandes abbayes, avec l'abbaye des Dames, fondée dans la ville normande de Caen, dans le département français du Calvados, par Guillaume le Conquérant. La construction de l'église commença en 1065 et ses travaux furent achevés en 1077.
Il est environ 21h15 lorsque passe la BB15009 "Arzens" non loin de Ménerville, dans ce coin devenu connu depuis l'an dernier. Elle tracte le Corail 3357 entre Paris St Lazare et Caen par une belle soirée d'été; entouré des copains présents sur place !

Photo : A Campan (750 m sur le niveau de la mer), les grandes chutes de neige sont de plus en plus rares. Mais des averses de neige tombent encore trois quatre fois l’an. Elles apportent de la gaité blanche sur les toits et quelques glissades dans les rues. Peu d’enfants désormais construisent des bonshommes de neige ; elle ne reste pas longtemps. Comme chaque année, la question est : la neige, tombera-t-elle pour Noël ?
Foto: En Campan (Pirineo central francés, 750 m sobre el nivel del mar), las nevadas importantes son cada vez más raras. Pero todavía caen chubascos de nieve tres o cuatro veces al año. Aportan alegría blanca a los tejados y algunos resbalones en las calles. Ya son pocos los niños que construyen muñecos de nieve; ella no se queda mucho tiempo. Como cada año, la pregunta de cada habitante es: ¿habrá nieve en Navidad?

In making these Macros, I discovered that some flowers have 'hairs, something I did not know nor expected!
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.

Caen Hill Locks are a flight of 29 locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal, between Rowde and Devizes in Wiltshire, England.
First opened in 1810, they were designed and built by John Rennie, the engineer of the Kennet and Avon Canal that they form part of. In total, there are 29 locks – adding up to a rise of 237 feet over two miles.
