This cactus neon sign looks like it is begging to be let out into the sunshine. I feel ya, buddy!

I have only had one other cactus I wasn't sure I would be able to keep it alive in this northern hemisphere but it seems to be ok and it grew some flowers.

A macro of a part of a cactus we have on the terrace which has been growing like crazy these past couple of months. It's covered in little oval shaped leaves at the moment and it was these I wanted to try and capture. There's a photo of it in the first comment.

A pretty pink bloom on a low cactus at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden

Early morning image using the cactus to capture the first of the sun as it rises above the hill.

I don't know what kind of cactus this is but I find the spider-like strings interesting. Taken at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton, Ontario.

I am always amazed at the beautiful blooms that spring from such a menacing plant. I suppose it's nature's way of balancing.
