Cute cat seen on last night's bike ride (NEX-5 with Nikkor S 55/1.2)

"June" was sitting in my new prop [see basket below] so i quickly put this holiday collar on her and was able to fire off a few pics before she decided she had enough. The photo below was taken earlier in the day when she was waking up from a nap in this basket.

Have a very relaxing weekend.

All the kittens are extremely observant, but I swear, Doug is taking notes!

This morning he figured out how to work the bedroom doorknob and managed to open up the door...TWICE!

Houston...we've got a problem, and it's name is Doug!

Well here we are. 5 months old already!

Time flies!

We have an appt. next Tuesday to get everyone neutered.

...getting to know all about you.

Getting to like you, getting to hope you like me!

Well, I'm not sure if we've gotten to the "like" stage yet, but we have gotten to the point where the kittens are no longer freaked out every time Pearl enters the room.

Now they are becoming curious, and are getting close enough for quick sniffs without hissing or threatening to swat.

Pearl is equally curious about them.

LOL, she's pretty cautious though.

She knows kittens have claws and can turn on you on a dime!

Jasper and Henry are ready for me to take them to the beach!

It's been a real challenge using my laptop lately!

just think...if it wasn't for Flickr, Henry and Jasper would never have found their way into my life.

The world works in mysterious ways!

I think I've really needed these past weeks, since I've been here at the shore to decompress.

As it turns out, hanging out with a bunch of kittens and my dog has been pretty therapeutic!

It's also given me a chance to really get to know these little guys. I went into total "Jane Goodall" mode for these past 5 weeks just observing these little goobers.

When they first got here it seemed they almost moved as a single unit. If one did something, they all did it. They hung close together. Now they are often off on their own little adventures and starting to show their unique personalities!

Antonio Banderas ♥ wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

Today Oct 26th 2020 it's raining a lot here :-)

After posting somber pics the last two days, I decided post something cheerful. I hope these pics of June puts a smile on your face.

Scroll to see "out-takes".

Update: If you want to LAUGH....scroll down to "LeapFrog!" 's comment and click on the link he provided. Cute video...really short ...but a real hoot.

June hopes all the kitty cats out in flickr land has a purrr...fect weekend!

this is Rosie... she might be from the same litter as Daisy, they look about the same size and both B&W... she also comes each night for dinner and runs away...

I took this from my front door window...

I'll need to start putting the trap out and get him/her fixed....

sorry if your looking for wildlife pictures. All I've got are kittens!

hey, they're only small like this for such a short time, so I'm not going to apologize. I'm stocking up on the cuteness while I can! 8-)

So here's the deal.

Doug has now joined the Cat Hill Farm clan with his two brothers.

His adoption with my friend fell through (don't ask..rolling my eyes!)

After a month of fostering him, anyone that knows me, KNOWS that I am really not that heartbroken by this turn of events. I adore him!

I'm glad I get to keep the "terrible trio" together!

It's going to be complete chaos at the end of the summer when I take these 3 back to the farm.

It's going to be like a scene between the Sharks and the Jets! The Sally Clan vs. The North Carolina Kittens!

My lovely Henry Sugar telling me that the neighbors cat has been over here again. He isn't very protective of his territory so we get lots of visits from the noisy cat from next door (as well as lots of other cats from the neighborhood).

This weeks Smile on Saturday 17-06-17 theme is 'precious pets' :-)

I hope you all have lots of smiles this week, and lots of laughs too

:-D

as broken hearted as I am over Floydd, I still have these little goobers to look after.

They've kept me occupied, and they've even made me laugh right out loud a few times.

10 week old kittens can't help but make you smile.

I highly recommend a good dose of kittens to anyone trying to mend a broken heart!

I want to keep documenting their kittenhood too, so I've been trying to pick up the camera here and there, even though I haven't much been in the mood, but everything they do seems to be a photo op,and they're so darned cute it's impossible not to want to photograph them once you start.

Dolly les yeux. Cette petite frimousse poilue est une douceur dans ma vie.

As you will see below, this is Keiko's bed. Keiko is in this bed 24/7. Imagine my surprise the other day when i walked past and saw June in there! Keiko was NOT pleased to say the least. My house has cat beds/condo's in every room...but sometimes they want what the other cat has!

Floydd decided to come into the livingroom this morning for a visit.

He settled in on the rug in the middle of the floor, sphinx style, and watched the kittens darting all over and playing with one another.

Initially they didn't seem to notice him, but at some point Doug realized there was another real, live cat on the scene and went into full blown Halloween kitty mode!

He puffed up and danced in front of Floydd, posturing and growling and acting like a complete goofball.

Floydd just passively watched the show until Doug got bold enough to come in for a nose sniff. Floydd emitted a low growl, which made Doug back pedal into the wall.

Then Floydd stood up and went to the door and looked at me like "Open please? I've seen all I want to see here!", and went off to find a quieter spot to hang out.

And remember, the animals that are considered as 'food' had mothers too who loved them.

Hi everyone!

Just dropping in with (what else?), a few kitten pictures.

I took a break from the camera and other devices and have just been enjoying time with my husband and my friends here at the shore.

Sitting on the front porch reading has also been a real treat.

I've been able to loose myself completely in two novels over the past week. No interruptions!

What a treat!!

Not like at home where everything seems designed to divert my attention and I'm never able to read two consecutive paragraphs without having to get up and do something!

Now my girlfriend is visiting for a few days!

Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with everyone soon!

Jasper peeking out at me from under my chair!

I could sit in this room all day and take cute pics of these guys! 8-)

Doug decided to make friends with the little rubber duck sitting on my bureau.

Well, eye to camera!

OK, Henry might be a very uncooperative model, but I have got lots of shots I really like over the years. I just have to take hundreds in the hope that one comes out :-)
