Our second visit to this site on a bright warm Spring day, looking down through the many locks heading into Audlem (Cheshire)
At Audlem on the Shropshire Union canal there is a run of 15 locks descending into and through the village as you head north
Having opened the level crossing gates and given a signal for a clear path ahead an engineering train passes Radstock signal box to attend to works further along the branch.
With just the garden for photo opportunities at the moment it's amazing what you can find. This bee was very industrious working his way around the bluebells in the garden.

As busy as I claim to be, I've still got the greatest job in the world.

This is quite a busy intersection. Tsuen Wan Road and Kwai Chung Road run parallel at ground level before they split to different directions. The overpasses on the right belong to three MTR lines: Airport Express, Tsuen Wan Line and Tung Chung Line. In the left background the flyovers to Tsing Kwai Highway. Shot from the footbridge beside the Lai King MTR station.

Worker-foraging bees collect nectar by sucking droplets with their proboscis (a straw like tongue). The nectar on its own provides immediate energy in the form of carbohydrate sugars. Worker bees jobs include housekeeping, feeding the queen, drones and larvae, collecting the pollen and nectar, and making the wax.
As humans, one thing that we can learn about life from honey bees is teamwork, as they are natural teamplayers. If one bee is suffering or falling behind, the others step up and do the work, making sure that collective productivity is never reduced.
Lovely Friday to all!
