It had been a couple of years since I got a shot from this vantage point, and I was hoping to change that. Without ATCS, it is a bit non-trivial to time an intercept on this side of the St. Paul Sub; but, it is summer, and the weekend, so no Uni busses, making camping a little more viable.
However, when I got up the ramp, I looked down at Union Jct to see a highball for an eastbound, and within 5 minutes a NTW train came around the corner. Here they begin their assault on the hill towards Como Shops.
...of the morning commute is alive and well in downtown Harrisburg as busses and trains move in and out of the Harrisburg Transportation Center.
Meanwhile, loaded auto rack train 18N thunders past the morning rush with an all EMD consist including the SD70ACe leader, a 60i and SD70 trailing.
"Monument" is a sculpture by the German-Syrian artist Manaf Halbouni. Three buses standing vertically on the rear of the vehicle, modelled on a road block built in the Syrian city of Aleppo. The work of art belongs to the Kunsthaus Dresden, where massive protests were caused by the xenophobic Pegida movement and the AfD on the occasion of its exhibition in front of Frauenkriche at the beginning of 2017.
With this project, Manaf Halbouni hopes that Aleppo will be rebuilt after the end of the civil war in Syria - like Dresden after the Second World War.
"Monument" ist eine Skulptur des deutsch-syrischen Künstlers Manaf Halbouni. Drei senkrecht auf den Hecks stehende Busse, nach dem Vorbild einer Straßensperre, die in der syrischen Stadt Aleppo errichtet worden war. Das Kunstwerk gehört dem Kunsthaus Dresden und hat dort anlässlich seiner Ausstellung vor der Frauenkriche Anfang 2017 massive Proteste, vor allem seitens der fremdenfeindlichen Pegida-Bewegung sowie der AfD hervorgerufen.
Manaf Halbouni verbindet mit dem Projekt die Hoffnung, dass Aleppo nach dem Ende des Bürgerkriegs in Syrien - wie Dresden nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg - wieder aufgebaut wird.

Verkehrsbetriebe Schaffhausen (VBSH): following tests with two ietram electric buses build by Irizar, in 2021 VBSH put another thirteen vehicles of the same model into service. In total, the company has seven 12-meter-long standard buses and eight 18-meter articulated buses in service.
Here we see the 18-meter articulated bus number 20 (registration SH-38020) working a service in the city line 3 to Sommerwies.

Tobu Bus Nikko Co., Ltd. (subsidiary of Tobu Bus Co., Ltd.): the bus number 2986 (Isuzu SKG-LR290J2 / J-BUS, registration 宇都宮230う・102) working a service in the line SL to the Kinugawa onsen Station. The bodywork was modified by Iwato Kogyo in a retro style, recalling an old tram.
An icy morning for commuters on the Tiefa system. SY 1770 was assembled in 1999, one of the last (production) steam locomotives made.
Not long afterwards, steam was replaced by diesel on this line, and most of these commuter trains by busses, although the company retains a collection of locos for steam special weekends for enthusiasts.

Of course, like all tour busses and trolley car tours, most people are paying attention to the sites (in this case, the historic town of Savannah, Georgia) and not paying attention to we photographers anxiously hoping for that great shot of numerous persons facing rhe camera with 'pricless' expressions. Here, only one person seemed to be noticing me as they drove by.

Grupo Autocares Monbus S.L.: entre el 25 de julio y el 12 de diciembre de 2020, el servicio ferroviario de la línea R4 de Rodalies de Catalunya ha estado interrumpido entre las estaciones de Martorell y Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, por obras de mejora e instalación del tercer carril. Durante ese tiempo, Monbus ha realizado un servicio sustitutorio por carretera entre ambas poblaciones, con dos líneas: una directa, y otra con parada en la estación intermedia de Gelida. Aquí vemos el autocar número 3044 (MAN Lion's Coach, matrícula 0198 KXT) dando la vuelta en el aparcamiento de la estación de Gelida. En este servicio alternativo ha sido frecuente ver autocares que normalmente estan asignados a las líneas internacionales de Flixbus, las cuales ahora apenas ofrecen servicios debido a las restricciones de movilidad derivadas de la pandemia del Covid-19.
Grupo Autocares Monbus S.L.: between July 25 and December 12, 2020, the Rodalies de Catalunya line R4 rail service has been interrupted between the Martorell and Sant Sadurní d'Anoia stations, due to infrastructure improvement works and the installation of the third rail. During that time, Monbus has carried out a substitute service by road between both towns, with two lines: one direct, and the other with a stop at the Gelida intermediate station. Here we see coach number 3044 (MAN Lion's Coach, registration 0198 KXT) turning in the parking lot of Gelida station. In this alternative service, it has been frequent to see coaches that are normally assigned to the international Flixbus lines, which now barely offer services due to mobility restrictions derived from the Covid-19 pandemic.
