This Bristol/ECW VR, seen I think in Fareham, was new as United Auto 701, later with Northumbria (518), and looks very well in the People's Provincial two-tone green livery.
I've seen several school buses that have been repainted, but this tops my list. It was at a canoe and kayak rental place near Manchester VT where we rented kayaks.
This Was seen at the Bus Driver of the year show Area Finals at the Kent County Showground at Detling Nr Maidstoner 2008
A pair of Grahams Bus Service Guy Arabs loading passengers for Linwood outside Paisley Town Hall. Both buses appear to have Northern Counties bodywork of a nineteen fifties style. XS5626 would have entered service in 1945 fitted with an austerity body similar to that fitted to DUS425.

A similar bus, XS5625 also received new bodywork while the third vehicle in the batch, XS5627 retained its original austerity bodywork. From a collection purchased on e-bay. Photographer not known.
Newly restored Greater Manchester Transport 4002, ANE2T, a Leyland Titan TN15, seen at the Manchester Museum of Transport, Boyle Street, at the SELNEC 40 event. Shiny!
A picture of 4002 in service can be seen here:

Mercedes-Benz 709D/Plaxton, new to Nova-Scotia, seen in Stockport. Later had a much more scenic life on Holy Island in Northumberland.
Stagecoach East Midlands launched the eye-catching Daffodil Bus last year and raised £2,050 for Marie Curie by encouraging people whose lives have been affected by cancer to submit personal messages to be printed on the side of the double decker bus,
Having said that I seldom take pictures of modern buses, here's another. This is an Optare Tempo belonging to Caelloi Motors from near to Pwllhelli, North Wales. As current buses go, I have to confess that I find them quite attractive (Don't let 'Deltabus' know that I said that!). It's just a shame that it doesn't come with a more 'manly' engine... a derivative of the Cummins L10 would do nicely. The picture was taken between Portmadoc and Criccieth.
I was more taken by the curious colour that the passing of a red Route 179 gives, when reflected on the side of the blue training bus.
