Burnout

Hotwheelz - Hildesheim - Airport - 2017

This vintage fire engine hasn't had a call in years, being left to rust and decay away on an abandoned Illinois farm. I've got to think this beauty could be restored and would make a great show or museum piece somewhere...

HTT Everybody! 65° and sunny here in northwestern Illinois today!

an unfortunate Edsel.

I took a very short, miserably hot local bike ride this morning and found this poor Edsel which had experienced even more heat than I had.

"Burnout" by Green Day

I declare I don't care no more

I'm burning up and out and growing bored

In my smoked out boring room

My hair is shagging in my eyes

Dragging my feet to hit the street tonight

Drive along these shit town lights

I'm not growing up, I'm just burning out

And I stepped in line to walk amongst the dead

Jimmie wins! Again! That's 3 years in a row. I should have placed a bet.

Strobist info: an SB-900 speedlight shot through a 95 cm octagonal softbox with a grid positioned above and slightly in front of the model. The speedlight was triggered by the camera's built-in flash set in CLS commander mode.
