The front bunny arrived on my property early last summer to graze in the meadow and soon began hunting for seeds by the birdfeeder. The squirrels always chased him away until he learned how to stand up to them. The second baby arrived six weeks later and kept trying to be friends, but the original bunny took a page from the squirrels and acted aggressively. This is the magic moment when they finally bonded and became companions.

Two baby bunnies arrived on my NC property during the spring of 2021. After some squabbling they became friends....matured, then realized they were of the opposite sex. The following spring they mated and this is a picture of their offspring several months later. During late summer the parents left, so the babies could learn to survive on their own.
Sometimes a cold shoulder for a portrait, but it is bunny time so for Gorgeous Green Thursday enjoy Peter Cottontail hopping away.

Young and sweet, this bunny was feeding along in the grass next to the woods. I was on my belly to get this perspective, and the rabbit gave me a perfect pose as it looked back at me :)
I know they're the bane of gardeners, but they're still one of my favorite wild animals!
