The architect designed Villa Bunga Pangi comprises 5 separate pavilions with feature ceilings including four double bedrooms, a multi-media room, a separate modern kitchen, and a magnificent open air main pavilion. The infinity pool is fronted by hardwood decking with sunbeds. It is designed with multiple depths so children of all ages can enjoy it. The lower plunge pool fronts the river where you sometimes see fish or swimming lizards.

Ulam and its Antioxidant Activities
A preparation that combines food, medicine and beauty is the widely popular Malay herbal salad known as ulam. Traditionally, villagers collected the young shoots or pucuk of plants growing locally to make the freshest, most delicate ulam. Today, these herbal salad ingredients are also available from markets and supermarkets in the cities.
High in antioxidants, ie rich in molecules that can slow or prevent the oxidation of other molecules, these ingredients are key fighters against oxygen particles known as free radicals. Free radicals can lead to damage in the human body, linked as they are with cardiovascular disease, various forms of cancer and inflammatory conditions to name a few. Therefore, eating antioxidant ingredients is a good way of preventing, or slowing down, free radical damage.
Many traditional vegetables used in ulam are shown to have significant levels of antioxidant activity. From the pretty carambola, a member of the starfruit family, to a variety of greens such as common purslane, as well as herbs like the laksa leaf and sweet basil, ulam ingredients are great healers. Of particular note is the ulam raja or “king’s salad”, brought by the Spanish from tropical America to South East Asia. Malaysians believe it has anti-ageing properties or awet muda, and also that it tones up blood circulation, strengthens the bones, and promotes fresh breath.
