Bulgaria, the communist country's poor! Every 7 years make a huge step forward! I returned a few days ago and tourist services there is higher than in Italy. I wish you much luck Thracians!
Fairly common but local summer migrant from winter grounds in Africa. Found in open country on heathland, moorland, rough grassland, often with bracken. Perches atop bushes and on fences, dropping to the ground to feed, where usually hops briefly before flying back up to a perch. Male distinctive, with bold white eyebrow, dark cheeks, and peachy-orange breast. Female duller but with ghosting of male pattern, especially pale eyebrow. In flight shows distinctive white bases to sides of tail.

"The Theodosian Walls are the fortifications of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire, which were first built during the reign of Theodosius II (408-450 CE). Sometimes known as the Theodosian Long Walls, they built upon and extended earlier fortifications so that the city became impregnable to enemy sieges for 800 years. The fortifications were the largest and strongest ever built in either the ancient or medieval worlds. Resisting attacks and earthquakes over the centuries, the walls were particularly tested by Bulgar and Arab forces who sometimes laid siege to the city for years at a time. Sections of the walls can still be seen today in modern Istanbul and are the city’s most impressive surviving monuments from Late Antiquity." Source: Ancient History Encyclopedia

Hier zieht eine dieser Modernisierten 44er den BV 8632 von Варна nach Пловдив und durchfährt den Bahnhof Варна-Спирка
Sofia Bulgaria
The statue of Sofia is allegorical - it is depicted as a pagan goddess bearing the ancient symbols of wisdom, glory and prosperity. It represents a standing female figure with arms outstretched. On her head she wears the crown of Tyuche (the ancient Greek goddess of fate), as a symbol of power and authority.
Statue of Sofia replaced the earlier statue of Lenin

This building housed the former headquarters of a state company that managed uranium mining across Bulgaria from 1945 to 1992. The abandoned offices, built in the 1960s, once coordinated a strategic industry central to Cold War geopolitics.
