At what they do...
I was taken out (under duress, I might add) to the bulb fields at Keukenhof, with the cynical viewpoint that seen one tulip, seen 'em all. How misguided can one person be?
I was just totally blown away... a truly amazing place. I've never seen such beauty... I just hope all the wonderful Dutch people will forgive my earlier cynicism.

Normaal gesproken ben ik totaal niet van de overdreven HDR, het al te flink opschroeven van de saturatie en de scherpte tot 11 draaien. Dit keer, echter, wilde ik juist kijken wat ik daarmee uit dit beeld kon halen. Het is opgebouwd uit elf foto’s, die ik allen handmatig heb gemaskerd in Photoshop om tot een geleidelijk verlopende belichting te komen. Realistisch? Nee, niet bepaald. Over de top? Zeker. De vraag is echter of dat hier erg is. Graag jullie meningen…
Hyacinths
Normally, I’m really not a fan of exaggerated HDR, excessively increasing the saturation and turning the sharpness up to 11. This time, though, I wanted to see just what all that would do for this image. It’s composed of eleven shots, which I all masked and blended manually in Photoshop, to get the exposure fading as gradual as possible. Realistic? No, not really. Over the top? Absolutely.
