Das Flatiron Gebäude gehört zu meinen liebsten Häusern. Die einzigartige Fassade und Bauweise sind schon etwas ganz Besonderes für mich. Wenn ich auch nicht erklären kann warum.

The Flatiron Building is one of my favorite houses. The unique façade and design are something very special for me. Though I can not explain why.

One of a pair of gadwalls seen on the big pen lake at Slimbridge close to the boardwalk and main buildings on a recent visit. This is the handsome gadwall drake.

Monster Building Night-Monster Building night. Hong Kong -15 July 2017 This building is probably the most Instagrammed site of Hong Kong and a perfect illustration for dense housing in a megapolis. It is called ‘Monster Building' due to an unbelievable conglomeration of five residential complexes—Oceanic Mansion, Fook Cheong Building, Montane Mansion, Yick Cheong Building, and Yick Fat Building. The complex is also known as Yik Cheong Building, one of the most famous buildings in Quarry Bay.

I posted a photo of this building a few months ago that was taken from across the river and which was of a much wider view of these buildings. I went back about a month or so later and photographed them from a much closer perspective and this was one of the images I captured.

My 5 letters word is block.

I love shooting building blocks.

I had so many options for this but this is where I landed.

Walking down a narrow path between an old stone house and a lush garden with a lemon tree and some flowers, you feel you are traveling back in time. Many of the older houses have been restored, but Pachia Rachi old village keeps the image that it had in the past and its local character unaltered. No cars, no shops, just a relaxed style place to be.
