I was watching a video of Simon and Martina some days ago, they’re a Canadian couple living in Japan.
She was talking about her chronic pain from suffering of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and how this affects her mind.
I was thinking, while watching, about her hashtag #buildaladder, and how important is to live life one step at a time, and mostly how important every step is.
I don’t have any physical disease, but as I said before, my mental health is not going well recently, and I totally agree with her. Every day for me is a fight against anxiety, but even getting out of bed could be a small victory (well, sometimes it’s a BIG victory instead) despite all the negativity and bad thoughts I woke up with.
I’m fighting very hard at the moment to conquer every single step of my ladder, sometimes I find a step higher than another, sometimes I take easily two steps at a time but in some ways I’ll made to the top of my ladder, trying to be positive during the climbing.

Uploaded via Instagram ift.tt/2CHVPTz Forgot how much I like Branchmen. They came to me long before I even knew who Groot was... And I stopped making more of them after the first Guardians movie, because I was so tired of EVERYONE saying "oh, it's Groot" every time they saw my work. It was rather heartbreaking, even tho I *do* like the character. But... I wanted to do full-body ones... Really badly... And I'm glad I started to work on them today. I needed a smile. I needed this face. Hi bud, welcome to reality. It sucks here, but it's okay, we'll make space to be at peace together today. #branchfaery #stickman #woodland #faery #thunderjaystudio #badmentalhealthday #buildaladder #cryingwhileyouwork #artistlife #woodsprite
