Buffalo Wild Wings is a chain of restaurants featuring barbeque wings and other comfort food. This location is at Monroe and Randolph in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. The child playing on the beach is a nice addition to the decor of downtown Detroit. Seen during a visit to the city on the lovely day of March 8, 2020.

Friday evening's dinner: air fryer chicken wings with Buffalo Wild Wings honey BBQ sauce.
I don't have a BWW stores close to me anymore, but this sauce sure takes me back to weekend lunch dates in Dallas. So good!

Jonathan made amaaazing wings, with a copycat recipe of Buffalo Wild Wings Spicy Garlic sauce. This recipe is SPOT ON, and its is sooo tasty.
SPICY GARLIC WING SAUCE:
1 cup Frank's red hot sauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
Combine all ingredients except egg yolk, water, and cornstarch for sauce of your choice in a small saucepan. Heat sauce over medium heat until boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove pan from heat and allow it to cool, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
While sauce cools, vigorously whisk egg yolk with 2 teaspoons water in a medium bowl for about 2 minutes or color is pale yellow. Whisk in cornstarch until dissolved. Drizzle sauce mixture into egg yolk mixture in a steady stream while rapidly whisking. This will create a thick, creamy emulsion that will prevent oil from separating. Cover sauce and chill until needed.
Makes 1 1/2 cups

This originally was the White Marsh location for Woodward & Lothrop. Woodies closed down in 1995 and this location was sold to May Co. May already had a Hechts location in the mall, so they opened this under the Lord & Taylor division- that store opened in 1998. Lord & Taylor was eventually closed down in 2003. Later, in 2004, Hechts moved their furniture, kitchen and housewares departments over to the first floor. Eventually the upstairs was leased out to Sports Authority and Buffalo Wild Wings.
The Lord & Taylor entrance is still being used by Buffalo Wild Wings. Originally it would have been white with the black marble instead of the yellow paint.

One of my supervisors is in town from Phoenix so we all took her out to Buffalo Wild Wings for a visit and a good time. The service was absolutely terrible, but the wings and fellowship were great!
