At Iona's Beach Scientific and Natural Area (SNA) on Lake Superior, north of Two Harbors, Minnesota with my little beach buddy. I believe that this is a Yellow-rumped Warbler. He likes to hang out on the shoreline of the small bay between the two points.
Once upon a time, this place was once the site of a charming mom & pop resort called Twin Points Resort. Iona Lind, her husband John and their children ran the resort for over 50 years. Iona kept on for a short time after her husband passed away in the 1980's.
When Iona died, she donated the land and it ended up in the hands of Minnesota's DNR.
Iona's Beach SNA is about halfway between Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse State Parks on Minnesota's legendary, historic Highway 61.
Buddy is Daisy's and Lily's best mate, they all adore each other and love their weekly walks. I offered to do some photography of Buddy and he was the perfect model. Buddy has just had his 1st Birthday.

Une chance qu’il n’est pas rapide,car comme vous le savez je n’étais pas en état pour prendre des photos hihihi.
Je ne croyais pas mon chum quand il m’a dit « le voilà ton porc-épic »
Car comme vous le savez j’espérais en voir un et le chantais en route ! Alors quand j’ai réalisé qu’il y avait vraiment un porc- épic sur le bord de la route , j’ai bondi de l’auto pour le photographier !
Pour tout vous dire il n’était pas nerveux du tout il a peut-être avancé un peu en courant à l’arrêt d’autres automobilistes,mais à la vitesse qu’il va même saoul je l’ai rattrapé ! 😅 il a été très coopératif et je crois qu’il était heureux d’être immortalisé !

One of the several groundhogs that wander around on our property. I don't mind having them around as long as they just nibble on weeds and not my garden plants. This groundhog is my buddy, and was strolling across our patio. Backyard wildlife.
Buddy's Pizza is a smaller chain in the area, but that doesn't matter... this is still a nice sign no matter how you slice it. Hah! Slice it. Pizza. Heh heh. Get it?

At one point there were 5 or 6 Swans in this retention pond. Over the course of time all but one of the swans have left, the swan that has remained has a happy existence, but has not mate at this point. However, she is not completely alone as these 2 ducks are the only waterfowl that she lets share her ponds with her. We even saw the swan chase away a couple of storks the other day.
