I carefully arranged some yarn in an elegant pattern on the outside red layer of wool. Of course, it moved during felting into a random design of its own making!
These objects were part of my collection of works about our worship of consumerism, the left piece represents a reference to totem poles which are carved wood representing dieties and mythological story; it has a plaster cast of Bubblewrap translating a throw-away material into a monolithic ancient form. The right piece was an experimentation of manipulating plastic with heat creating a form which balances, again an attempt experiment with this material and a comparing of consumer goods and priceless ancient objects

1 - a bowl
2 - jewelry
3 - some sort of blur
------------------------
The small figure is standing on the lip of an inverted antique glass bowl, supported by a ring. The blur is provided by temporarily placing bubble wrap between the lens and subject during a long exposure.
Drawing, focusing on tone and contrast. I enlarged this, printed with the lines and painted it onto bubblewrap itself.

Half term at art school, so Vik set it up so I could go down to her work and use the embossing press. Loved it - rn lots of things through it - very happy.
This is bubble wrap - which sounds amazing when it's going through a press tht puts a couple of tonnes of pressure on each inch.....
Today was a Parents Night Out Friday.
Elena and I came in early to finish what was left from Tuesday.
We did that in almost no time.
Only hindered by a Christmas Tree and Bubble Wrap, of course.
When PNO started Elena and I worked on the bulletin boards and such. Some of them looked good, and Elena taught me her "Jedi Master" ways of the bulletin board, passed down through centuries of Korallis' (1/6/12)
It's 100% successful. No more scrapers or de-icer sprays needed.
Lay the wrap with the bubble domes toward the windscreen glass - making sure it's clean first - the cavities between the bubbles provide air pockets of insulation.
Tested for four days past (20.12.10)
Not only no problems but it's the same sheets!
Yeah, it's fun to pop bubblewrap - however sealed air bags are so much better.
Got a big delivery from an online store, and they used air bags to stop things moving in the box. Needless to say, I laid those bad boys out on the floor and popped those things. Love the loud bangs these things make when you stand on them & make them pop.
Here are some of my smaller vases. Bubblewrap all the way with these guys. I plan on making mostly small stuff at NAU. I need some pieces to go into the soda kiln.
