Macro Mondays "Bubbles"
Many thanks to all those who view, comment and or fave my photoes.....It is greatly appreciated ......Chandana

macromonday the theme this week is bubbles.
and i relearned that it's not easy shooting macro into a glass paperweight ~grin~
and i have to point out with pride that i *made* this paperweight!!!!
I used dish soap, water and glycerin to make a small amount of mixture. Glycerin makes the bubbles a little more stable apparently, which I learned after my last foray into bubble photography. Put a small amount in an upturned mug with a black card behind it. Blew bubbles with a straw and eventually managed one decent image out of a LOT ;)) HMM

looking through a backlit orange christal ball paperweight with lots of air bubbles inside (and further bubbles within the bubbles which are hardly visible to the "naked" eye)
Taken with the manual Laowa 60mm ultra macro lens @f/8 and 2:1 magnification.
The "big" air bubbles you see here in focus are about 3 to 5mm in diameter; the whole globe is about 8 cm wide - you can see a bit more of it here:

Macro Mondays - theme of November 28, 2022: bubbles
Bubbles Prelude
#sliderssunday
Tomorrow's Macro Mondays theme is "Bubbles". Back in May 2021, I had experimented with photographing soap bubble planets for the theme "Soap". Back then, I had four nice-looking, usable images of rainbow planets in the end, and I've always wanted to upload the other three photos, one at a time, "peu à peu", but somehow, I never got around to doing so. But what better opportunity to present one of these "outtakes" is there than the eve of another "bubbly" theme. So here it is: rainbow planet No. 2 :) Duly overprocessed for Sliders Sunday with several mask layers in Lightroom and some extra vibrancy added in Color Efex with the "Reflector Efex" filter.
You can find a link to my original "Soap" theme photo in the first comment. If you are interested in how to photograph soap bubble planets, you'll also find links to a few tutorials in the description of that first bubble planet photo.
I will try and take some new bubbles for tomorrow's "Bubbles" MM theme, let's see if I can come up with anything nice, if not, I'll skip ;) Wishing you a lovely first Sunday of Advent and Happy Sliders Sunday, dear Flickr friends!

Spent a lazy day on beach and suddenly BOOM!, Humpback Whales in short distance came on surface, which they then repeated many times. They were BIG, so cool to see them!
Actually, Humpback Whales did bubble net feeding, swallowing large chunks of anchovies.
Wherever we went in Paris, the streets and parks always had lots buskers and musicians. This gentleman, in the park across from the Louvre, was thrilling everyone, especially the children, with his ability to make massive bubbles.
For Macro Mondays - Bubbles
For this image I partially filled a glass kettle and placed a brown card behind the kettle. Shortly before boiling tiny bubbles rise to the surface.
The area photographed is 50 mm (2 inches) wide.
Happy Macro Monday!
i took a gagillion photos for my duet with aimee. and i couldn't believe it when these three bubbles lined up perfectly and did NOT pop on the grass. wow. it was meant to be for sure!!!!!!!!! ;-)
One of my attempts at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Bubbles".
Shot with a Carl Zeiss "S-Planar 32 mm F 5.6" lens on a Canon EOS R5.
