There were many wonderful wildflowers coming into bloom in the meadow and lake basin at Owyhigh Lakes. Paintbrush is one of my favorite wildflowers and blooms in a variety of colors in the Pacific Northwest, including orange, red, a lighter shade of pink, yellow, and my personal favorite, the magenta pictured here.
(You may notice a floral 'theme' to my posts this week as I am kind of obsessed with wildflowers. Walking into a wildflower meadow I can literally feel my heart lifting and radiating joy. Which then results in taking excessive amounts of flower photos!)
The painter creates his canvas with his eyes and soul. Today he gave a brushstroke leaving, in the eyes of the beholder, an interpretation of him.
