Public Service Broadcasting's "The Race For Space" album launch behind the scenes, 2nd night, at The National Space Centre, Leicester, England.

We had a fabulous time at Public Service Broadcasting's last live show of their UK tour in Cambridge last night! Brilliant audio-visual mixed media presentation, great sound and a good mix of tracks from their four albums to date. As they came on , four guys dressed in identical white suits, and launched into LichtSpiel from their new "Berlin period" album, it was hard to remember that this was not Kraftwerk, but PSB! Indeed, PSB are doing now what Kraftwerk should have done ten years ago.
Being a bit of a laser junkie myself, I was sad not to see Aussie Floyd earlier this week, but PSB more than made up for it with a great light show.
Childcare centers received ‘treasures’ from Mississippi Public Broadcasting
Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB), with financial support received by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, researched and purchased much-needed items for 55 childcare centers affected by Hurricane Katrina on the Coast and in the Hattiesburg area.
With a list of over 350 centers provided by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Child Care Resource and Referral Agency, MPB designed and mailed surveys to those 350 centers to determine the availability of appropriate resources in each center’s library/book area.
Fifty-five (55) childcare centers (34 on the Coast and 21 in Hattiesburg) completed the survey. Resources for the library/book areas were researched and purchased by MPB for each of those centers responding to the survey.
The last week of April 2007, each of the childcare center directors was informed of being selected to receive educational materials totaling over $1,000 and to come to the Imperial Palace Resort and Spa in Biloxi on May 1 or to the Lake Terrace Conference Center in Hattiesburg on May 2 to receive their complimentary items.
Materials provided by MPB included furniture, a listening center with six headphones and book sets, a rug, puppets and puppet stands, and various books.

Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) building at 1840 Bell Road in Halifax (Nova Scotia), Canada, photographed on 4 October 2018. This CBC building opened in October 1956 and hosted in its later years programs like This Hour Has 22 Minutes. The building was demolished in 2020 to make way for hospital expansion.
While walking from the bus station to Metrotown skytrain station I saw a man trying to have an afternoon nap. The sun was shining bright and the man was having a tough time trying to sleep. The bench is a diagonal which adds depth to the picture. The natural shadows also provide some cool details to this shot. Steven van Vooght, BCIT Broadcasting & Journalism.
