This is Brisbane from Mt Coot-tha. I was fortunate enough to have fire crackers go off to the right of the frame, for this capture.
One from the archives. A photo I took and put aside way back in August 2016 and let it be until now. I think this capture turned out well!
This is Brisbane in August 2016. This part of the city is called, 'Riverside'. If I went to the same location tonight to take the same capture again, you would notice no change. Certainly no new buildings. Nothing has changed in this part of Brisbane city.
I love capturing my home town in the blue hour.
This location is one of many around the city to take such a capture. Different evening, different reflections in the water and a different shade of blue sky!
Brisbane, my home town.
This capture is looking at the city from Southbank that is across the Brisbane River. The city is much bigger than this capture shows. I will showcase more from different angles in due time.
The bridge is called the Victoria Bridge. Not as iconic and grand as the Story Bridge! They light up the both bridges the same colour each week On this evening, the Victoria Bridge was lit in beautiful teal.
I think it looks good in black and white too!!
A historic photo of this part of Brisbane in March 2016 given the redevelopment (into restaurants and bars) under the left bridge pillar and its immediate surrounds.
More of these fireworks explosions in Magenta, for some reason this was the dominant colour palette captured by my camera this year.
Brisbane is also called River city. When I took some night shots, I realized why.
Brisbane, Queensland. Australia.
A nice break from winter back home and enjoying some summer weather on this work trip while trying to sneak in a few shots.
Brisbane has a magnificent waterfront with lots of access, and people come to enjoy the views and fresh air.
This is the view from my room. Overlooking Brisbane river with South Bank parklands and the new purpose-built government building on the right.
Thanks for looking, have a great week guys!
Must admit, I took a break from Flickr for a couple of days.
But anyways, this is the Wheel of Brisbane. Taken early in the morning, so that the lights were still on, which I think adds a bit more interest to the otherwise dark scene.
Thanks so much for all your faves and comments guys, really appreciate them! Have a great day!
Brisbane Glen is a stunningly beautiful location hidden away in the hills of North Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. This evening the reflections were particularly beautiful. This photo has only had some spots removed from my dirty sensor.
