Autumn brilliance in the forest that lines the Mississippi River along West River Road in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Oak leaves are waiting their turn as the maples behind them explode with color.
As Fall has eminently arrived we get to enjoy our gardens still. Weeding, pulling and cleaning of the gardens gives us a chance to enjoy the last of our plants and flowers. There was heavy fog over this area of the Annapolis River this morning, but it was beginning to burn off by the time we were up and moving.
This is the tidal impoundment area/lake. They generate electricity based on the rise and fall of the tide...up to 20 feet.

The last blooming flowers in my Mom's garden! I saved them from the frost, brought them in for everyone to enjoy this gorgeous bouquet in the first light of day!

At Enoshima. I stopped and shot this. My plan was to shoot the sunset at the top of the island.. on the lighthouse.. but it is 20 minutes away if I walk.. 10 if I run.. So I ran.. But I stopped and deducted a precious minute and I was running out of time.. But it was really worth it..
I almost missed the sunset.. but that's another story..
