Today's the day Winnie says I do....when Jim eventually turns up.
Winnie has had her hair done special for her wedding.
I never really understood bridesmaid parties or "hen dos" because my maid of honor and I just stayed up all night making mixed tapes with Blur and Pulp on the night before I got married. I could have hired a dj but I just knew the music wouldn't be as good.

Bis aus einer ganz normalen jungen Frau die "schönste aller Bräute" geworden ist, ist einiges zu tun...
Ich durfte eine habe Stunde dabei sein :-)))
The early morning light was just right and there were not that many people along the beautiful river bank …a perfect setting for wedding shooting. I didn’t hesitate taking a couple of shots of this elegant bride (or bride-to-be) against the refreshing backlight.

Close-up candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Another Hen Party on the prowl with an inflatable groom-to-be. How could I resist capturing this? Some great reactions too. Enjoy full screen by pressing 'L' or clicking on the image.
A nice showcase for the Alexander ALX400 which were suppled to Dublin Bus bringing 648 to the fleet, with their Volvo B7 engine, making transport for all with their low floor capability & wheelchair ramp & access.
A splash of colour on Fleet Street, wedding bus of Ringsend Garage, AX 494 on route 150 to Rossmore with Donnybrook Garage AX 619 behind on route 47 to Belarmine.

Oh my goodness, this bride to be was making the rounds of all the city attractions for her photo album.
This pose is on the steps of Basílica Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato.
We just saw her posing at El Callejon del Beso.
Probably not a bride but a quince, celebrating her 15th birthday.
Thank Patricia for the quince link:

A bride-to-be and maid of honor were the next to take the plunge and jump into icy waters. The bride-to-be will make a bigger plunge later this year when she gets married. Not only is today the day of the Penguin Plunge, it is the day of her bachelorette party. What a way to celebrate. The Penguin Plunge is held at City Beach in Whitefish Montana as part of the City’s annual Winter Carnival. The event benefits Special Olympics and is sponsored by Local Law Enforcement agencies and businesses. This year, over 130 people jumped and raised more than $40,000! We wish this bride-to-be a happy and warm marriage.
A quiet moment reflecting over the excitement of the day captured with the wonderful early evening light.

Larry and I had stopped to photograph an old VW Minibus that had been painted with chalkboard paint. There was a basket of chalk in front of the bus and people were invited to leave messages.
I was around on the other side of the bus snapping away when Larry called to me and motioned me over.
Evidently a young man had just knelt down and proposed to his girl, by writing "Marry Me HW"
Not wanting to intrude on their speical moment, I still managed to get some photos of them hugging and her family (who had been there) congratulating them.
Then I stepped in and congratulated them and said to the bride-to-be, "You never answered him on the bus!", and handed her a piece of chalk.
She knelt next to the bus and put "yes" next to his proposal, and gave me this cute pose with her ring hand.
I gave her my phone # and told her to send me her email, and I'd send along the pictures.
I found out later that nobody else in her family took any pictures, not even with their phones.
She was thrilled to have the moment captured and I was happy to have been of service!
