A shot of the interestingly shaped breakwater at the harbour in Arbroath.
I shot the breakwater at the other end a few weeks ago but at the time I didn’t realise how far a walk it was to the other viewpoint so there was no chance of shooting both at the same high tide. I decided to make a return trip and timed it for a high tide at sunrise. I was hoping to get a little movement in the water and some nice strong light from the left. Well I got the high tide but as you can see the light is about as flat as you could imagine. I’m not too upset because I think this view still works. I’ll probably use this image as a monochrome in the future but I also liked this colour view so that’s what is being posted today. I hope you like.
Wish you all a very nice weekend, and stay safe!

The picture was taken in Groede (Netherlands) a few minutes before sunset.
With the help of a ND-filter I was able to extend the exposure time and capture this motion blur effect in the picture.
I frequently stop here on my morning ride. Its always beautiful. The Breakwater Bar at Hillarys Marina
Pic was taken on a day of dramatic weather down the south coast at Wollongong which is south of Sydney. Took many lovely pics on that day. For this pic I moved behind the lighthouse and found nice natural lines that lead to the lighthouse. The dramatic weather provided the clouds, colour and lighting. _JDX2461_2_3_Default ac
The village of Sferracavallo is an ancient fishing village, whose name derives from the ancient custom of "unshoeing" the horses before crossing the shallow waters of the area.
Facing the small port of Sferracavallo, there isn't a single historical building of particular importance, but rather a series of sailors' houses and small buildings that give the place its fishing village charm.
The area is characterized by an authentic atmosphere and local traditions linked to the sea, rather than by the presence of monuments of great architectural value.
