Ice on the Moose River at Moosonee, Ontario 2012 April 5th. Two weeks after breakup. Due to cold weather the ice has just stayed and now due to lower water levels has fallen away from the river bank.
A barge in winter storage along the Quarry Road in Moosonee got moved by ice from breakup. Terry Chakasim kindly told me and drove me down to try and get some pictures of the work to move it back.
After my breakup, i experienced a deep void inside me that on the other hand made me observe solitude around. I tend to observe loneliness everywhere- places i visit, every moment that pass and even my own thoughts, which i try to capture in my photographs. This project is all about the mixed emotion of gain and loss.
