I just discovered some older Takes of my Trip with the HURTIGRUTEN through the Baltic Sea some years ago, taken with the Sony NEX-7 and the 18-200mm OSs Zoom.
This one is a Norway scenery with the dark Baltic Sea after hours of Rain. finally the Sun decided to appear!
The mountain inversion started to break up after sunrise and a fog bow formed which seemed to turn into a rainbow over Sgùrr a' Mhadaidh Ruaidh.
An otherwise gray day turns into a burst of brightness over the thin ice on the skating pond. From my On This Date archives.
There are certain times in our lives when there is a breakthrough moment that changes the direction of our Lives..... My breakthrough moment was over Fifty years ago when became a Christian......
We had a heat wave in the past several days. It is bad not only the heat (98F), but also the humidity (85%) .
Sometimes a breakdown can be the beginning of a kind of breakthrough, a way of living in advance through a trauma that prepares you for a future of radical transformation. Cherrie Moraga

Marina Bay, Singapore 滨海湾——新加坡
Marina Bay is a bay located in the Central Area of Singapore surrounded by the perimeter of four other planning areas, the Downtown Core, Marina East, Marina South and Straits View. The area surrounding the bay itself, also called Marina Bay, is a 360 hectare extension to the adjacent Central Business District.
On 22nd march I pulled a muscle in my back. Slowly the pain got worse and worse til Saturday when i was rushed to A&E due to agonising pain and put on a lot of morphine. since monday been at home on sticks barely able to do anything. This morning, something 'clicked' and I found I could move a little and this evening i could walk with one stick and so i went out with the camera, not to get anything special but just because I missed being with the camera so much.
So, I shot this sunset, nothing 'special' but to me it was a breakthrough as now I feel so much more optimistic and there is an end in sight to my pain (i hope!) so, though this isnt anything special, to me it means a lot
The wait is over! The “curse” is broken!
Flickr friends, as many of you know, I’m a huge Chicago Cubs fan, even though I no longer live in the Chicago area. And I’m happy to report that the Chicago Cubs major league baseball team ended 108 years of frustration for their long-suffering fans on Wednesday night with an 8-7 extra-inning victory over the Cleveland Indians in the deciding Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.
The win broke the longest championship drought of any major North American professional sports team. The Cubs' last World Series championship came in 1908. This photo was taken at an earlier game this year at Chicago's Wrigley Field, the Cubs' home ball park.
Congratulations to the World Champion Chicago Cubs and to all of their fans!
Just some art I made from my trip through Highway 2. I was experimenting with some long exposure layering. I hope you like it.

Butterbox, with the fog lifting and cloud cover breaking up. Beams of sunlight briefly lit up the cliffs as the clouds parted. Such a nice way to spend the morning : )

birth anew
birth begun
birth born of love

not mine
not anyone's
but someone
everyone knows.

I used two of my photos here - one of a sunrise and the other of the smoke belching out of the stack - I wanted to create the illusion of the fact that the sun can break through the junk that we cast off into the sky, and maybe, just maybe, one day nature will win its rightful place back here.
