Right I'm thinking, just thinking by the way, of challenging myself and buying Lightroom. Time I ventured out from jpegs and editing in Picasa - not that it has stopped me enjoying the photography for a second.
I've seen online that I can get a brand new copy of version 5 for £30! Is there any real need for a technophobe like me shelling out the extra £80 for the latest one. Answers on a postcard please (those were the days)
Press L by the way

Sychryd waterFall:
This is a relatively small waterfall at Sychrhyd gorge which is near to the Dina's Rock at Pontneddfechan Wales .
it was quite a steep climb up over to the falls and slippery one too on the way back, I almost had to walk crab style !
Carmarthen Fans in the Carmarthenshire section of the Black Mountain in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park in south Wales
What started as an afternoon searching for large vistas in the Brecon Beacons National Park, ended up as a search for more intimate compositions thanks to rain, low cloud and very flat light. I knew of this area, but had never visited, and was glad that I did. A walking trail going south from Pont Cwmfedwen revealed this scene in the mostly coniferous woodland next to the Taf Fechen river. A clearing in the conifers allowed the light through to illuminate this deciduous tree.
The plan was to shot sunset over Pen y Fan but the mountain was cover with clouds.
Next day on my back from the black mountain I arrived at the same location and shot the sunset over Pen y Fan and Corn Du but that will be in a different post.
.
Luckily, the he sun appeared between the clouds just above Fan Gyhirycg (top right).
