I wanted to mess with Aaron while he's doing a rapid fire series of math
problems:
"Twenty eight, sixty three, thirteen..."
"Aaron, how old is your Mom?"
"Fifty - fuck you!"

Pump your brain and impress your friends.
I cetainly need some brain training to finish this 365.
Also, "Brain Training" is a title of a wonderful jazz piece by Hiromi Uehara (look for it on Youtube).

Yup. Considering I first scored something like an age of 73 (er, I fluffed the first game because I didn't read the instructions, honest), I ain't doing too bad.
Here I am looking at foreshortening. Not sure where this went wrong. I think my eyes studied this from a few angles and melded all the view. Oh well, Cezanne got away with it, didn't he?
No, this isn't the wrist equivalent of a leg warmer.
Can I make it 21 days without complaining? Hmmm. I'm willing to give it a go.
I was back in work today and it was very boring, slow and cold. We thought it might be busy because of the sale, but it was quiet.
I was cold when I got home so got into my new fleecy jumper jacket hooded thing (which is for going out taking photos in the cold because I am fed up with my coat dragging on the ground when I crouch down for a photo), and my new soft fluffy blankie and settled down to some Brain Training on the DS.
Taken with the camera perched on the arm of the settee. It was too low at first but a copy of Nicholas Nickelby (fished out because it was on the telly last night) raised it sufficiently.

The annoying Japanese man keeps asking me to draw things I have no hope in hell of accomplishing. Well, screw him.
So, I've been buying some more bits & bobs for my camera and I got to put them to use this week because my girlfriend is selling some stuff on eBay.
I bought a 580EX II speedlite a couple of weeks ago, but this is the first time it has been used in anger. I've been putting off buying a tripod for months. I'd done very little research and I had the Manfrotto 055XPROB in mind. Whilst doing the first batch of product shots -- and struggling with the not-very-stable-in-standard-tripod-use Joby GorillaPod SLR-Zoom -- I decided it was time to get a proper tripod. A bit more research later and I ended up ordering the Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 (for weight saving and maximum compactness).
Anyway, here it is being put to use to shoot a Nintendo DS and some games (flash was actually fired off-camera using TTL cord). I used black poster paper for the background. For some other shots I also created a little soft-box studio type thing out of a cardboard box and tissue/wrapping paper.
The ladies of Team Brainnovation recently spent a fun day at Aventura Park, Dubai!
We challenged ourselves to take on some of the daunting obstacles and zip lines which pushed us to the limits of what we thought we were capable of.
Facing our fears, each one of us learned that positive self-talk and goal-oriented thinking helped us overcome our hesitation and achieve our targets.
This day showed us the importance of having a strong support system- at work, at home and even at school. Many of us would’ve given up halfway through an obstacle had it not been for our teammates cheering us on! At Brainnovation, we aim to build this support system for each of our Strivers and their families.
We are here to boost your cognitive skills, support you and cheer you on as you strive to unlock your potential! Visit us today at brainnovation.ae/
