I have always thought that sign would make more sense if it was in braille. I mean, if you can see the sign, you should also be able to see the cliff. Right?

A sea urchin skeleton ('test') found on a seashore walk, Isle of Skye, showing its pentameric radial symmetry. To give an idea of scale, the largest of the circular knobs is about 1 mm. These structures are where the spines are attached. The tube feet that the sea urchin uses for movement, come out of the test through the tiny paired holes.

It is a 2ft folding rule, made in England by Rabone, marked only in feet and inches. On one side the measure is marked in Braille with a raised dot at every inch along the rule's edge and every half inch slightly inboard. The numbers are marked in Braille as well as printed.
Marked "Rabone - Made In England - No1167"
