This was my husbands little leg or wrist band from 63 years ago. His Mom gave it to me when we were first married and I have it in my jewelry box. Notice they spelled his last name wrong too. Ours is Christiansen.

Two bracelets that I have inherited, the padlock and chain from my mother and the bangle from my mother-in-law. The chain was originally my grandfather’s watch chain, and my Mum had it made into a bracelet. The bangle is classic 1970s, both very wearable.

This pair of gold bracelets has an interesting history. They were brought back from Iran in 1979 by my wife's brother who had been employed there as a helicopter technician prior to the fall of the Shah of Iran.

I wear these almost everyday. I only take them off when I sleep or when I plan to do heavy labour where I might wreck them. The wood beads are sandlewood mala beads The silverish bracelet is om mani padme hum. I tend to fiddle with them in times of stress or anxiety. Otherwise, they are a reminder of the importance of living a healthy life for me.
