Borderline personality disorder.
Looking in the mirror I can see several me, the shadow of darkness always by my side. What mask am I wearing this time? Beneath that mask is my true face or is there another mask?
For a long time, since I was diagnosed, it has been a taboo for me to talk about this, I always thought that I would have much more difficulties if I accepted that I was sick, make excuses and explain to the world everything that having this disorder entails, and of all the problems this is the one that I least like to touch, it is sure that it's because of how much it affects my life, but I will never like to acknowledge what it has done in me.
When the severe symptoms started I took it as an alternate world to make me feel better, but then it became real, talking, arguing, making me bleed, hitting me, looking for problems, looking to be physically hurt without thinking about the consequences, but thinking that you are strong because of be impulsive, have serious problems with anger without being able to control yourself and without fear of pain. It's like feeling Batman. I ended up easily dissociating myself more frequently and with less difficulty.
EVERYONE around me lives without knowing these symptoms, and maybe if they did they could be a little more considerate of their attitudes, but sometimes I think it's too late.
