Out in the desert one afternoon waiting to see if I could capture a few sunset shots I had a surprise visit from a group of birds. They sort of look like a boy band, don't you think?

The 90's. A decade I like to call the limbo decade. Between the end of the cold War and 9/11, when the whole world was kinda confused and nations like the USA didn't really know what their role in the world is now. When Grunge was played before boyband pop, and after eurodance. It was a weird time for those of us who just made their diploma and then had to find work in a crushed economy. Where the parties from Thursday to Sunday night was more important then anything else. It was weird, crazy and confusing.. but fun. And this is one of the songs that reminds me of that decade... and it kinda fits into the 4th of July 😜

Simon Webbe, best known as a member of the British boyband Blue headlined this year's Carlisle Christmas Lights Switch-On event. Twist and Pulse of ITV's Britain's Got Talent also featured in this year's packed programme, hosted by ITV Britain's Got Talent's Jonny Awsum.
The Christmas Lights Switch-On event also showcased the best of local community groups and performers including Carlisle Dance Academy, Rocket Theatre School, Belle Vue School choir and Jordyn Louise Dance.
The star-studded Christmas Lights Switch-On took place in the city centre outside The Lanes Shopping Centre and the Old Town Hall. It was organised by Carlisle City Council, and around 15,000 people attended the event.

For some reason, I couldn't think of a band that I love that begins with the letter A to start this off. It's obvious, once I searched through my music collection. AC/DC, a1, A-ha, AFI...and as @rhyswynne pointed out, A. I was going to do a theme along their song "Starbucks" but I can't find my starbucks mug anywhere.
So I picked a1, the first band that I majorly, majory went fan girl over. And the song "2:59" which was a b-side to "Caught In The Middle". In my own opinion, it should have been a single. This song is probably one of a1's best and it's bloody catchy! The lyrics are cheesy and it's pure boyband. But I love it.

She walked with her head held high, the bunny EARS on her head bouncing gracefully. She had been in Japan for a short time but despite her age she had adapted perfectly to the Kawaii style and she loved it. She was going in the direction of the temple, she had met one of those guys who seem to be taken from a Boyband and she was wearing her favorite DRESS, her sweater BAG and those BOOTS bought in Alicante (Spain) that had never given her any problems . Empowered and feeling like the most beautiful woman, she looked at each other over her shoulder and not just because of her height... XD
Ella caminaba con la cabeza alta, las OREJAS de conejo sobre su cabeza rebotaban graciosamente. Llevaba poco tiempo en Japón pero apesar de su edad se había adaptado perfectamente al estilo Kawaii y le encantaba. Ella iba en dirección al templo, había quedado con un chico de esos que parecen sacados de una Boyband y vestía su VESTIDO favorito, su BOLSO de la suete y auqellas BOTAS compradas en Alicante (España) que jamás le había dando problemas. Empoderada y sintiendose la mujer más bella, miraba a unos y a otros por encima del hombro y no solo por su altura... XD
