Not even a mouse. (OK, maybe there was this one cat who was watching a little - in between naps.) ;-)
I just noticed that i have been a bit "heavy" the last 2 days, I guess a trip to DC war memorial will do that to you..
So lets lighten the mood a bit with a cool cat with a crazy top hat and some bumpin big bokeh )
This perspective is the equivalent of 'guardrail' photography along the Cane Creek Sub. There is a parking lot along Hwy. 279 for visitors to ditch their vehicles and hike to the Corona/Bowtie arches in Bootlegger Canyon. It was fun to people watch here as I waited for my inbound train to arrive from Potash. The couple nearest the train had just crossed the track, spotted the train coming, and waited so they could take photographs. To my right is the massive cut at milepost 31, the background for many a selfie, dog, and family portrait on April 19, 2019.
Bowtie Arch und Corona Arch sind berühmte Ziele für Wanderliebhaber abseits der Potash Road. Die Wanderung selbst ist recht einfach und die Landschaft ist auf dem gesamten Weg wunderschön.
I did not know there is something called “origami paper" you can buy to do things like this. The creation here is called paper bowtie. It is originally from Spain (I did not know either)... Pajarita de papel. Truly homemade :-)
Cooperstown had a wedding-gown-showcase-scenario a while back and the one who got the most votes would win a date with Bow-tie Paul. Well, that was the plan anyhow, but Paul went missing...
Me: Hello Amy! Where are you heading?
Amy: Nowhere! I mean away... to over there..
Me: Okey. So no hard feelings about coming in third on the wedding gown thing?
Amy: Heh, heh, nooo, wedding what? I've already forgot. Bye!
Me: Wait, what have you got back there?
Amy: ... stuff.. I'm in a hurry sooo..
Me: Oh, sorry, don't let me stop you.
Amy: I wont.
Amy stepped on it and disappeared in a cloud of snow down the road. I watched her go, frowning. It felt like I just missed something important. Something that was going to haunt me later... Oh! Now I know. She didn't wear a seatbelt! Content, I went home.
