From the vantage point of the Esplanade, you can get a great view of the sun setting over Boston/ Cambridge. The clouds made for an interesting sunset.

Boston Light and Graves Light from Revere Park, Hull, Massachusetts. Boston Light, built 1783 and was about a mile and a half away. The background light is Graves Light, built in 1903 and was about 4.5 miles away. The interesting part about the latter is that it was recently purchased and restored as a residence.
I'm referring to the final countdown of this year's autumn. We're down to the last. The photo was taken this past Sunday in Boston Common - it always seems to be the last place to change colors of the leaves. It was actually quite beautiful on Sunday.

Just before sunrise at Boston Light with Graves Light behind it. I had flown to Boston for a conference a couple days early to work in some photography and had some good conditions on that first morning. Looking back, I should have brought by 100 to 400 lens rather than the 70 to 200. And I meant to bring my 1.4 teleconverter, but forgot it. That's what happens when you pack at the last minute.
