A good amp and guitar combination is a horrible thing to waist. The PepTone Boss BD-2 Mod keeps your tone but will allow you to take control to push it further without changing your tone.

This is by far the best low gain to medium gain pedal I have ever played. It can get hairy with heavier gain settings but it really shines as that "push your amp to the next level" pedal.

The incorporation of the dual stacked op-amps creates a very amp-like response without a brittle bite and a smoother natural response.

Many key components were changed to achieve a nice well balanced EQ setting that doesn't sizzle and muffle your tone to death. The PepTone Mod overhauls what many miss...no loss in lows or highs...and especially no horrible shrill spike in the highs like many BD-2s do.

The EQ knob can be used in EVERY SPOT. Most pedals have that "you should never dare to use" zones that just tear apart your tone. The PepTone BD-2 Mod is capable of so much range without killing your tone.

We changed the feel and tone of the gain to get a tube like response and still keep the dynamic feel and sensitivity. The low gain setting sounds like YOUR amp setting still and the high gain setting gets a very tube like fuzz drive to it; think of it like hybrid of a gain and fuzz drive pedal. Reminds me of those vintage guitar tones you hear on those classic albums like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

We also added more headroom than any other BD-2 out there. A bit more wiggle room for those clean boost fans.
