Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and we all need vitamins. So why not an orange, egg and lemon mix to boost our vitamins intake. And since I have a very busy day ahead (with some major laundry folding, vacuuming and a 10km run) I will need the extra energy and motivation for sure!!

Did some homemade ginger shots with turmeric, citrus fruits, orange and honey yesterday. Best way to kick off the day with whatever time of year it is.

This winter we really have played hide n seek with the sun here in Sweden. Rain rain rain, cloudy, shit load of snow (like 50cm in 2 days), a week with good weather and now we're back in rain rain rain. No need to say that the shit load of snow is long gone here in the southern parts now? :-P
Looking good on both ends back on May 4, 1980 as the daily eastbound Toledo Peroria & Western freight headed by their lone GP30 gets an old fashioned boost out of Peoria by Nickle Plate 765 which had arrived the day before and would pull excursions the following weekend.
Many a time I've been wondering whether there is a "pathway", a "recipe" that leads a specific profession or activity to the top of its peers' list ? Whether there are quality characteristics of steady nature, whose presence boosts a given venture into a diachronic success, while their absence turn other similar ventures to subsequent mediocrity and gradual oblivion ?
When I posed this very question to a professor of mine once, he came to me with an amazing answer: "The key to success ... " he said " ... in every venture you decide to undertake is to try not to be a little something to almost everybody but to be almost everything to only a bunch of people".
The University of Cambridge followed that recipe and managed to be steadily ranked amongst the top five Academic Institutions of this planet for quite a few centuries now. It has a reputation that acts like "honey to the bees" to young, gifted minds from all over the globe, while at the same time it unsparingly provides both high standards' academic programs for almost all sciences, as well as an amazing Medieval environment whithin which these programs are followed and completed.

Would you believe me if I told you I hadn't boosted the colours in the shot ? I've added some contrast to cut through the haze but other than than the saturation remains unchanged from that shot. The amazing light was created by the last rays of the setting sun filtered through barbecue (and probably some cannibis) smoke drifting off the adjacent beach.

4th gear, 100mph, 18psi... I can't stoppppp!
This is NOT a Photoshop effect. The image was actually taken at a very safe pace with 1" shutter speed. I took about 50 pictures and most of them turned out okay, but I really like this one because the pretty red truck I was passing really gives a great sense of motion. The camera was mounted on a tripod in my car, and the shot was taken with a remote in my hand.

The image for today was taken late this Afternoon in the Cathedral Quarter of Coventry city centre. The view is of of the inside of the Grade I listed Holy Trinity church. Looking down past the Font and the Nave towards the Choir stalls and Altar.
The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped and Straightened the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then boosted the Contrast, Ambiance, Shadow area and Warmth. I also decreased the Highlights a little and added some extra Structure. Next I used the app Brushstroke to apply the Gloss G2 painterly preset. I also changed the canvas type to Cold Press. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Contrast preset, the Vibrant FX and a Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Stucco texture and the Leather frame.

fazia um tempinho que eu tava querendo blendar esse shoot e surgiu tempo, amém. no início tava uma bosta, eu não sabia como deixar a disposição das fotos, uma cor predominante, tive várias ideias mas acabaram se perdendo pelo ps.
como eu amo um difference usei e gostei do resultado, ficou mais ou menos como eu queria.. espero que gostem também kkk
