Movement in kitchen could mean 1 of 2 things. Either the humans are coming into the family room to play, or they're getting snacks. Both are awesome. So of course movement in the kitchen got both Jasper and Edward Elephant excited.
We're visiting family in Wisconsin without Jasper this week. But the pet / house sitter has been sending us daily photos so we know he's OK (see first photo - you can see his total anxiety attack 😉
A real drag for me, one day into vacation, I put a fresh battery into my camera, and it won't turn on. I Googled all sorts of stuff but nothing worked Got on a live chat with Sony and they took me through some diagnostics. Finally, they e-mailed me a FedEx label to send it in for warranty repair. Dropped it off at FedEx this morning. The crowd said, "BOOOOOO!" So, all I have to shoot with this vacation is my phone.

That spider is called Spidy and is my pet. And the smoke is fake. It's a kind of powder.
How do you know it's me by the way, I'm hiding under a white curtain.
OLEG:
Because the curtain is transparent.
And that spider has to go outside.
PETER:
I take him out regularly and he gets bread and milk.
OLEG:
Peter ...... Spiders eat flies and no bread and drink no milk.
PETER:
Oh...that's why he doesn't eat.
Ok...I'm going outside to look for flies. Oleg?
OLEG:
Yes what ?
PETER:
Are you angry now because I scared you?
OLEG:
Sigh...I can't be mad at you because I love you. Well...go on...go let Spidy out.
PETER:

A large and very active thunderstorm moved over Calgary last night. Unfortunately I could not get a decent lightning shot because the Calgary Parking Authority was enforcing parking on Crescent Road with a vengeance(3 or 4 cars at 10:30PM - what?). I missed a ton of action during the process of moving my vehicle. Then the rain came. Boooooo
This Blue Jay is just about to take off from its perch in a fir tree. Shooting up toward the sky brought bird and branches into silhouette. Seemed like a perfect image for All Hallows' Eve! Hope you are all having a deliciously scary Halloween!

Today I ate cereal in a mug. It was heaven.
Anyway, tomorrow will be an exciting day 'cause it's... HALLOWEEN! :D Quite fast, eh? I know, most of people on Flickr are like in the other side of the world, so yeah. hahaha. I won't be putting on a costume though. boooooo. ): but in exchange, I'll be taking a lot of photos! :D

Eh bien, ce petit garçon s'assoit sur un tronc d'arbre et il écoute Les grenouilles.
D 'abord, elles ne parlent que le langage des grenouilles.
Quelques unes disent ...
Et les autres...
Les plus grosses faisaient...
Et même quelquefois on entend...
Bientôt, il ferme les yeux pour mieux entendre.
Il écoute encore Les grenouilles et il découvre
Qu'elles ne parlent plus le langage des grenouilles, no sir, elles parlent le langage des gens.
Il y en avait une qui disait: "Où es-tu? Où es-tu? Où es-tu?
Et une autre qui lui répond "Suis'ici, suis'ici, suis'ici, suis'ici! ..."
Et une autre qui demandait "Où ça? Où ça? Où ça "
Et un vieux crapaud qui disait "Dans la boue, dans la boue, dans la boue...
Et un très vieux grand-père qui chantait presque "Enlève'le, Enlève'le, Enlève'le..."
Et une toute petite grenouille qui disait "J'peux pas, J'peux pas, j'peux pas! ..."
Et puis le chef de la tribu, avec ses yeux gros et verts, il sort la tête de l'eau et dit: "Boooooo!"
Et toutes Les grenouilles sautent dans l'eau et elles nagent au loin en faisant kechlickechlac kechlickechlak...

The above photo illustrates what a group of people who are watching the management of the represented team looks like. Everyone who roots for them SHOULD look like this right now, and should start selling their season tickets.
I'm a divorced fan of the "Indigenous People's of the Potomac River Basin" in Washington, DC. We had been going through a long and arduous separation for years as the organization did its best to drive me further and further away. I didn't ask for this divorce. I was forced into it.
The papers were signed on November 29, 2007.
I don't have to watch Lifetime to know that you should NOT stay in an abusive relationship, no matter what. It makes no sense. Neither does this organization. Just one look at the front office and their track record over the last 15 years tells you all you need to know.
She can win me back over time, however, it's going to take time and a LOT of evidence that she's willing to commit to doing what's best for herself and for the relationship. Until then, I root for my second team (they always have been), the Chicago Bears.
If you think that I am being a "fair weather fan", then that must mean you root for the Raiders (the only organization in pro football that's WORSE). It also means that you don't have one shred of understanding whatsoever about what's gone on in the front and back offices of that squad.
Case and point...:
I believe Dan Snyder is the embodiment of the devil. He's not a good person.
At that time, the front office wanted Jim Fassel as a coach. What, was Rich Kotite wasn't available?
Think on that for a while and see if I'm being over the top.

#135/365 Post Process Fridays episode #16. This awesome shot was taken by my mate Shawn. I love the straight on angle of this shot (if you haven't noticed from my photos too). Out of all the PP fridays I have done, I have probably had to do less with this one. Mainly it was just brighting up the color...dodging some of the shadows and bring out the texture of the sidewalk/street.
Update: My hard drive still dead..looks like I'll be spending the weekend reinstalling my OS and stuff...boooooo

The small town of Eudlo is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland of SE Queensland and sits just east of the foot of the Blackall Range.
It has a few interesting little country shops including the General Store.
At first, I thought some giant rats had been let loose on the awning but a closer look reveals that are kangaroos (or wallabies if you want to be more precise as they are small).
They are wearing beanies with state colours, probably for the football.....looks like someone has crossed the border near the front with their blue NSW beanie. Boooooo!
