A move the dispatcher referred to as the "unit train" grinds upgrade out of Ray Junction, AZ for the copper mine at Ray, running close behind the empty ore train. This train appeared to consist of four loads of sulfuric acid, used in the smelting process, with five spacer cars each in front and back of the loads.

Out with the better half to meet some friends for lunch, which luckily turned into a 3.5 hour chat. Perfect timing to head south for 5 more minutes to meet 934 along the coast in postcard weather.

While looking for owls yesterday we came across this strange fellow. I am thinking some kind of pheasant, but I don't see him in my copy of Birds of Alberta?

During processing in Topaz Studio 2, a strange thing happened. When applying an opacity change, the program added a second sheep to the image (the one closest). The rest of the image remained untouched.

I have previously had double-exposure like changes but they were always of the whole image and more ghost-like.

We get a double bonus with our cherry tree. Blooms in both the spring and the autumn! This is a real stunner, especially against the clear blue skies of October. Outside in the yard yesterday playing with the circular polarizer. I got some adhesive on it and wanted to make sure it was still ok!

While looking at East Canyon Creek Falls, I looked a little farther upstream and found this waterfall where Tule Creek empties into East Canyon Creek. There wasn't any reference to it on the Northwest Waterfall Survey, but the upper part of the creek seems to be known to canyoneers, here: ropewiki.com/Tule_Canyon_(South_Cascades)
